I guess Nintendo is handing this out? It appeared on my home screen.

I decided to give it a shot while catching up on some TV. It's fun for a free title!

The tutorial is needed, but so slow and dumb. There is an option for inverted pitch controls.
It uses Play Coins to join internet matches. I'm fine with that, though I can see some people bitching. You also get free club Nintendo coins for downloading it.
It's definitely different trying to FPS in a sub. No strafing, and much slower combat.

Yeah I noticed that too. I bought earlier this year and haven't even played it yet and now its free to play lol.

So wait is there a difference between my cart and the F2P version?

I also bought it a couple of months ago and still haven't broken the seal.

its a different game altogether...

The subwars is an online multiplayer 3d game.

The original is not.

Also one of the few games that uses the Circle Pad Pro. Pretty well actually. I like it that you use the second pad to control the dive on your sub. You still need to touch the screen for some of the special moves, but it's cool to have the one stick work the speed and turning while the other one lets you rise or dive.
