All look like boots to me (mint condition carts and labels and no serials) but I am no expert - has the jury reached a verdict?

Most of those are hacks of some sort so they are definitely boots. For the titles that had a legit release, you'd have to get pictures of the boards.

Boot city, but the svc chaos plus is actually the best version imo.

That Nightmare in TEH Dark is hilarious - almost as if a NG forum member is taking the piss.
In the meantime sent the guy an email asking which ones are authentic and which ones are boots - will see what he has to say.

The only way to know for sure is posting boards pictures, but from start the SVC plus, MS6, CTHD, KoF 2004, 2002 plus and 2005 are boots. The SSV, MS5, Nightmare and KoF 2001 have a chance of being original, only board photos will tell for sure.

Regards.

I hope you didn't pay for that stash.

Paid nothing and thats the way its going to stay with regard to these 'treasures'.
Few more general questions:
- do all authentic MVS games have a serial no.?
- any logic with regard to the cart cases - black, see through, different colours etc. - e.g. a particular title only comes in a see through cart?

With the serials, its a good chance if they are intact that they are legit. However, serials don't always denote legit and replacement labels don't always denote boots, the only surefire way to tell is by looking at the boards.

Strikers 1945 Plus is usually in a blue transparent case. A few early titles like Sam Sho also came in a colorless transparent case.
