Might have a chance at getting one of these but just wanted to know if it would be worth my time. For the retro side of things, i currently have a few systems with s video but my main system is a cmvs running component. Not experienced at all with tv setups at all. Just curious if i should pursue this or just get an old fashion tube tv. Right now its all running on an lcd and i cant take it no more!!

the only reason I can think of not to get a pvm even if you are already content with your setup, is severe burn-in or other major monitor issues like geometry and whatnot. If it works, get it, and I'm willing to bet you won't be dissapointed. For me though, even for a really good one, I wouldn't pay over $100, but that's just me.
