That, or ground your audio connection somehow (be it with one of two audio leads plugged in, or even the video lead being plugged in if this is a TV with common ground) and just use the end of the audio plug as a probe.

If you have the parts though the build in the link above is a much cleaner solution.

I know you said you jumpered pin4 to pin 12 on the Z80. But did you connect pin 4 to the cart slot? From the pics you posted it that trace is missing there

What pin on the cart slot should I jumper to pin 4?

Nice job installing that socket and the new YM2610. Sorry it is still not working. I still have that AES like yours but with a minor audio glitch. Let me know if you want any pin connections or logic states from it to compare with yours.

Thanks mj, I still need to pick up a logic probe. Any one in particular you recommend?

I checked traces from YM2610 to cart slot using Xian Xi's page and had to repair A47 - YM2610 (46), but still no sound. Does anyone have pinout for YM2610 pins 1-10? This is the area that was most damaged., can't seem to find where they lead to.

SOUND!

For anyone who cares, I had to jump 3 traces:

YM2610 pin 8 to Z80 pin 10
YM2610 pin 4 to Z80 pin 12
YM2610 pin 46 to PROG board pin A47

Glad to be done with this one. Thanks to everyone for the help!
