Howard is an excellent goalie, great positioning and reaction. He'll be a real asset to the US team for years to come, that goes without saying, but he's got to hone his skills a little more.

Howard is 36 and this was his third world cup. He has played over 300 EPL games for Everton and Man U.

Neuer was interesting to watch in this tournament, even if he did have the luxury of the playing for a team that dominated possession in every game. Very versatile player. The moment that defines Neuer for me is that penalty kick he scored against Chelsea in the CL final a couple years ago. A couple of times Neuer reminded me of Rustu in 2002.

However, in my opinion Navas was the best keeper in this tournament.

Klose could do Euro 2016, but why? He scored goals, His team won the WC, he broke Ronaldo's record - in Brazil. He's accomplished everything. Well, unless he has an itch for a European championship

it looked like he was openly weeping at the end of the match which probably suggests he knows its time to hang up the boots.

Didn't know that Howard is already that old.

About Klose, he keeps his options open at the moment. I don't think that he will play in France but who knows, if he still would be in good shape by then, why not. I probably would end my career if I was in his shoes, he achieved everything a footie player can hope for. Well, except for a WC and EC double...

Question: would she be with him if he wasn't a footballer, but rather in university studying to be an engineer?

Interesting fact #1

Women of that stock would sooner hookup with the following (before considering a guy working towards an engineering degree):

-a moderately successful drug dealer
-a cute guy at a nightcub with some MDMA on him
-a semi famous standup comedian who isn't that funny
-a guy with a wicked-sick car whose dad owns a really nice cottage
-an aging porn director
-Howie Mandel

As much as people say that this is a knee-jerk reaction, Dunga is going to have a field day with the amazing young defensive options that Scolari overlooked.

James to Real Madrid, Colombia got the FairPlay award and James was the player of the cup. I'm happy. Great cup. I'm still in World Cup mode, so pumped for the future of James.

Not going to agree it was a great cup. Too loose with the rules for player safety. But Colombia did well (and would have done better if the referees were doing their jobs).

Coming from our previous efforts in the world cup this was a great cup for us. Maybe not for everyone, maybe not even period but the fact that Colombia left with dignity and ended the last 25 mins of their stay with top class futbol, I can't complaint. We made a point, we're passed the bs drama from yesterday. As much as Germany won the cup, I feel like we also won something, credibility.
