Playing Neo Geo Games on the PS23 and Wii via disc

Most PS2 and Wii versions assume buttons in a square formation. What is the PS2 and Wii equivalent to the A,B,C,and D buttons in the menu. I've got fighting sticks for the Wii and PS2, so I was wondering how you program to use the buttom row of 4 buttons like the Neo Geo would be? I don't want to use a square configuration. i want 4 in a row.

I had the same problem with MS, KoF99 and Waku Waku 7 on Wii VC. If the games are updated for Wii U, you can set button configurations. Otherwise it's assuming that you are using a Classic Controller and not a fight stick.

I ended up just using a MAME emulator, pairing my nightstick and configuring B, Y, X, L to to play games I had on VC but not MVS.

This is a must own if you want to play Wii only VC games. It corrects not just the spread of the buttons, but the order of them too.
