I recently lost an auction on eBay, but the seller offered me a second chance deal. I scooped it up for $45 so I was pretty happy.

Would this happen to be a boot?

It is not on the scan website for the Korean or english version. From the Japanese version, I would say a boot. But it has been debated if there is a Korean version

The korean version, if one exists, would still use maskroms. Boot.

It's a boot, but at least it uses SNK boards. If it plays fine, for $45 I'd almost consider keeping it and asking for a partial refund.

Ok, thanks. Im totally fine with buying a boot if it plays normal. Better I buy a boot and not care, then someone who would genuinely be upset

If you plan to keep it, you should consider putting some tape over the windows of those EPROMs. Just to make sure they don't get (partially) erased by sunlight or something. Very unlikely, even in a clear case, but better safe than sorry ;)

And yeah: refund time ^^

These days you could probably buy a 100-in-1 multicart, which includes Neo Bomberman, for about the same price.
