    +2000

    Hope you stay MKL!

//EDIT: While we're on Agetecs: I got two with just the cases and was wondering if there is a good way (replacement PCB even?) to make these compatible with the DC again (including memory card function and auto detect as stick)...

    That's the honest truth.
Reaching out to people (like me) who obviously needed and still need help improving their work and offering to help these people improve is far more effective, helpful and better for the community than bashing them and trying to make it appear as if they do bad work on purpose and not because they just didn't know any better. Nobody does bad work on purpose, they just don't know any better and the people who could be helping them choose to act like these people do bad work on purpose instead of reaching out and giving them the help that they obviously need. This is why there's still a lot of bad work and advice out there.

Often you need a lot of patience with beginners as there are a lot of people out there giving bad modding advice and when you're a novice it's really hard to tell who's helpful and who isn't. Many of my poor practices were actually recommendations and advice that other people gave me. The advice for me to use a paint removing heat gun instead of a proper heat gun came from a very respected community member. When I later bought a proper tool and explained how it was much better than a paint removing heat gun, he told me that he must have just lucked out with the heat gun he had being perfect to do the job. I'm not going to blame these people because I know that they were only trying to help and they all meant well.

One thing I noticed with skips is that when skips gave advice, if the recipient of his advice didn't immediately do everything skips said he acted like this person is a terrible person who does bad work on purpose. If someone dares to politely disagree with skips or voultar's advice, suggestions or opinions then they start posting private information publicly. I'm not saying that skips advice was bad, I actually agreed with 99% of his advice. What I disagreed with was skips being so quick to label anyone who didn't immediately take his advice as a terrible person who does bad work on purpose.

You have GOT to be shitting me. I'm sure it was a damn troll suggestion, and you fell for it. Research: the first thing ANY new modder should do, and a shit ton of it.

This shit right here. I'm sure a rebuttal response will be posted in about 4 or so months.
