Default settings as below.

Level 4 MVS, or mvs difficulty in playing on AES
1 credit - no continues.
NO cheats, i.e. unibois etc.
CAN set "C" button to auto.

The 'use the Ascender trick' is allowed. Instructions on how to use posted below.

Fly the P55 Ascender

When selecting your plane, go to the random select box and input Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up, then Down. The P55 Ascender should now be visible; press Fire to select it.

Just bought an MVS today with three games. This was one of them; and it's the only one that doesn't play. More likely the mobo than the cart, so if I get a working mobo that likes this game I'll be joining in on this.

If two games play and the other one does not play, wouldn't the mobo work fine then and the one cart be suspect?

The mobo was mounted poorly and under a lot of stress. Carts are all legit (no boots), so thinking and hoping it's the mobo.

Edit: fuck. PSU was set really hot. Fixed that and now bust-a-move works fine too. Still z80 error on strikers. Might have to buy another cart.

Z80 error usually means mobo problem (and not cart).

Find a neo buddy and try your Strikers cart in their board.

See what happens next.

Also, don't froget to clean the contact on both the cart and in the slot. Sometimes dirt can do funny things.

Thanks. Closest friend with an MVS that can test this is an hour drive (60 miles away), but i'll probably have to make the trip.

I already gave the slot and cart contacts a good cleaning. Given the improper mounting of the board and the mad overcurrent it's been operating on for god knows how long, I hope it's just the mobo that's the issue. Worst case, I have enough $$ to replace the board and cart, so I'll be getting in on this one way or another.

Sorry, I get up for another run and then just play better lol. I'm playing better than I normally do though, trying to see which is better, pea shooting for the first 3 lvls or powerhousing from stage 2. Seems like I end up with the same outcome
