Yes I've heard of it and have it, its alright, but still has the same slowdown, lag, and colision problems the other sonic gg games do. Try Triple Trouble, its the best Sonic on the gamegear. Nice story, graphics and long gameplay.

Did you see Sonic 3d Blast on GG? It reminded me of Donkey Kong Country on Snes.... Decent game play too.
