icon19.gif What NG systems do you have?

I am pretty new to the boards here, and I was just curious as to what all Neo systems you folks have? You don't need to go all crazy and list every cart you have and make me jealous. Just the different systems.
I have a US NeoGeo CD, A US Neo Pocket color, and a Japanese Pocket color (newer, smaller type). I am going to get a Home cart system, US or Japanese, ASAP! (I already have 4 carts for it!)

Started on a NeoCDZ a long time ago with about 50 CD games, moved on to cart system later. I own 2 of those. 1 modded and normal. Roughly own 57 Neo Carts now. Finally bought a brand new Single Speed CD system from SNK USA before they closed their doors. Still going ever since. ^_^

If the "fun" has disappeared from the Neo Geo and its games, it CERTAINLY isn't SNK or Playmore's fault. It's the over-crazed fanbase that is trying so desperately to add some value to their shallow lives by adding unnecessary value to an item that is only intended to bring entertainment, not stature. Wake up and become part of the reconstruction... not the future demise.

VinylBoy, cant blame you at all for liking fighters, especially neo geo ones. I once read in Gamepro way back when they still did reveiws on neo games that the neo was the perfect system for fighting fans with mind blowing budgets, and that does hold some truth even to this day. I got into neo, got out, and got the hell back in because of the fighters. Oh, and that is one PHAT collection (not to say some of you other guys dont have good ones too).

    Cool

At different times, I have had just about every combination of Neo hardware imaginable. Now, I am down to the necessities: An MVS board and a NGPC.

Of course, I also have about every other console that SNK has released games on: NES, SNES, Game Boy, Saturn, Dreamcast, and Playstation. 8-)

    Thumbs up

    I'm a new/old person returning to the Neo-Geo after a 2 year hiatus.

Heres my stash in possession now:

    KOF98 (from Shawn)
3 Money Idol Exchanger MVS Carts (waiting to get the Sacs for conversion)

    uhh.. no system?? waaaa

Not to worry I purchased 2 cart systems that should come very soon... But it's killing me looking at that beautiful KOF98 on my shelf and no system to play it on! Waaaa!

Other games I'd like to try/buy on the System:

    King of Fighters 94,
    King of Fighters 96,
Fatal Fury Special, Real Bout, etc..
    Magical Drop 3,
    Last Resort
Magician Lord (yes, I'm one of the 3 people that liked this game :-)

Uhm. That's about it. I have KOF2000 preordered from NCS.

I'm not really a collector per say (my wallet can't afford it)

    Question

Just a question... what is the point of having two cart systems? I mean, I suppose I could see having a us and a japanese for the purpose of collecting, but two us systems? Is one to play and the other to serve as backup? This is obviously a thread of true collectors so I would think someone could clue me in as to the answers to my questions.

Just for a backup in case the main one fails.

It's not like you can go buy these at CompUSA anymore! :-)
