That 68K setup is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a while. Congrats

It could be argued that I purchased these a year ago. However, since they've only just now arrived, I see no harm in posting them now:IMG_20170525_190056.jpg

I was at Wal-Mart this morning and decided to check to see if they had any Ultra Street Fighter II. I saw the empty place where they would have been. I checked the Wal-Mart app and noticed it said "Limited Stock" so I asked someone to check. Apparently they hadn't stocked them yet (being launch day and all) so they grabbed them from out back. They only had 3 in stock. Snagged one.

Nice idea! How was the pad hacked? Do you have any pics of the mod?

Why not hack a wired pad? Do they make them wired? I'm also thinking of getting one of them wired online adaptors just to see if it helps with connectivity.

Edit: I'm just playing it handheld for now, it sucks, but so does most people I've played so far so no worries yet.

Two Ghost Pilots? Must be love ;). Crossed Swords, Raguy (also two times), Nam... some massive launch vibe here. Nice exclusives with Neo Bomberman & Shock Troopers, too.

Congrats on that haul, must have been your heaviest luggage, Atro.

Edit: Damn, almost missed that Success Joe.

Do you have to sync it to the Switch every time you power on the console? You have to with the retro receivers which made me go back to a regular wired controller.

Yes, but it's simple. Press and hold start + Y for 3 seconds, and then it syncs. You have to pair it once, and after that, you just go into controller->change grip/order and sync it before starting the game. It charges off a standard phone wall plug w/ USB port too, which is nice.

The pad hack was as simple as they come. Scrape down the the contact points to expose metal, solder wires to the metal, connect the wires to buttons/joystick.

I wasn't aware there is a wired controller for the Switch, but admittedly I didn't look very far. When I learned the 8bitdo controllers were made Switch compatible, and they were more affordable than the pro pad, I went that direction and with the least expensive option with 6 buttons.

Pics of the innards of the stick:
