Growing up I only had portable game systems and a Computer such as a 386 IBM and then skipped to the P60 then P90.

That said 90% of my gaming was done on Nintendo's Game Boy. Man that system could sing. I mostly appreciated Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge. It made the Game extremely memorable and made that Game Boy sing.

Some Examples:

This Track is my Favorite, you have to have two working ears or it is broken sounding :)

Here is the whole list uploaded, IMHO a master piece and remains today the only Castlevania Game I have beaten.

Ah. Castlevania, before it became a case of spending hours looking for that next power up to progress *sigh*.

The "Praying Hands" theme you linked to is superb. Never heard that before.

I'll only played a limited number of GameBoy titles in my day tbh, but I'll post up some fondly remembered musics at some point...

Praying Hands has to be my favorite Game Boy song, it's a sad song as you are fighting zombies and just slashing your way towards Dracula, what an epic game. I am not even good at Castlevania games but this game kept me coming back until I beat it on Music alone.

That is indeed Ducktales on the NES, and that is the Moon Level easily the best music on the game and that game doesn't have any bad music. Capcom ruled with NES music, easily the best between this and Megaman.

This is a great little track, I like the Swamps level, although the NES music is much better. Everything that Alberto Gonzales has done for Infogrames soundtracks is stellar work.

Yes, Belmont's Revenge has the best music on the Game Boy. Great game, as well.

And from the only Pokemon game I ever truly enjoyed...

or the second version:
Obvious choice:

Those Infogrames games had pretty good music like Asterix on NES.

Besides nostalgia, I'm really drawn to the simplistic/easy gameplay and classic tunes found on Gameboy ports. This past weekend I've popped in Ninja Gaiden Shadow, Double Dragon and Kirby's Dreamland. Memorable music and relatively easy gameplay!

For me, Metroid II probably has the best tunes, but Belmont's Revenge is undisputably a gem.

Those FF Adventure tunes were so great I used to get into a battle just to listen to the music!
Found this one a while back too:
The bass-line is so dirty!
