Hey, I was just curious, what is the hardest game to find on Neo Geo pocket that was officially released, and which one is the rarest unofficial release?

Thanks...

Any of the euro clamcases that didn't quite make it out:
pocket reversi
shangai mini
evolution
cool boarders pocket
cotton
dynamite slugger
picture puzzle

Evolution generally fetches the highest price.

Rarity is so hard to judge, as although we know production numbers, we have no idea how many were sent back to SNK after they quit western market.

None of those are really that rare. They were available through standard outlets in decent quantities. I would say a hardcase U.S. Bust-A-Move Pocket is more rare than any of those.

I'm not to sure which are that rare, but I'm having problems finding "Rockman: Battle & Fighters".

All of the titles I listed had got as far as distributors, but the pull out came before their official release date. If a shop got those games in it was because people like me blagged real hard for copies...

None of them made it out in US at all, and the Japanese counterparts are in cardboard boxes.

They are all original titles (Bust-A-Move is basically the same ROM inside as the very common Puzzle Bobble).

Yes, I know BAMP is basically the same as Puzzle Bobble, but try finding a U.S. hardcase that has an insert that actually says Bust-A-Move Pocket. The Euro hardcases all say Puzzle Bobble.

Plus, the stores I dealt with had those titles you mention for months. There are plenty out there, just not many people getting rid of them.

List U.S. version of Gals Fighter as rare, too.

I think the rarest game on the neo pocket is that baseball Game (i think dynamite slugger but maybe something else) that used real Japanese Baseball teams names but was recalled because of a breaking of copyright rules. It was japanes only i think but might have played in english.

English Melon Chan - I played it at E3 2000, it did have color. Ex-SNK employee Marty Mann had it.

Yeah, Yeah, I know. But the baseball game with the real teams I do not believe did. which may be Dynamite slugger or world baseball or something. I forget which one. I will have to do a little more research on the title ;)

There was a soccer game that was recalled because of copyright issues with teams.

There was a copy on ebay that had all the real teams.

Word.

I'd like to get a copy for myself, but I don't have any idea how good it is. I'm not a big fan of buying games becauase they are rare.

Anyone played this, and have any opinions?
