AES owners please post your serial # and power supply info.

I'm trying to get info on what AES power supply's are for which AES systems.

If I could get enough replies then I could keep the info for future reference for others.
maybe make a Faq's..

I started a thread in tech..
http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=004901

Topic: What are the specs for the US/Jap NEO-GEO power supply ?

(US AES Serial #013323)
My US NEO-GEO power supply says

PRO-POW-UL
Model no. NEO-O
Input:
120V~60Hz 22W
Output:
DC5V 3A
(+)---( 0-----(-)

Maybe I could get more info with this topic..
I believe many members here do own AES systems YES?
Please help on this.. help

Well here is the breakdown of what I have. The two PS models I have seen are the PRO-POW (5v) (UL) and the NEO-POW3 (10v). Stats are the same as showned above.

S/N 334014
P/S NEO-POW3

S/N 016669
P/S PRO-POW

S/N 016243
P/S PRO-POW

S/N 070895
P/S PRO-POW UL

Note: I use the PRO-POW UL on all 3 NGH systems that takes the PRO-POW (UL) adapter. There are also NGH systems that can use both P/S although I do not have one that does anymore. I believe it was a S/N 120,000 but can no longer confirm since I no longer own the system.

As a replacement P/S for the PRO-POW (5v) I use the following

PART NO:SW-52W
Model:AD1805C
Switching adapter
Input:100-240v~1.0A 47~63Hz
Output: 5v-3.8A max 18Wmax:Regulated
Plug 02.1x5.5mm

The plug on the above P/S is a exact fit for the NGH system. I had to resolder the wires on the inside to switch the Polarity but the case is screwed on so it was easy to open up and swap the wires. The P/S was $16 at a local electronics store.

I have 2 homecart system for some odd reason one of them has the serial sticker removed so I will never know.

The other is as follows

Neo-Geo
Model No. NEO-AEC
Rating 8W
Use Pro-Pow-E AC Adaptor Only
Serial No. 067162

I bought this systtm bare. Meaning no controls or cables. I have yet to turn it on since I have my other system. Besides I have yet to buy a power supply for it, and I am afraid to use the PSU from the other syetm because its a Sega Genesis PSU. Does anyone knwo if I can use my Genesis PSU on this one also?

US AES system

S/N : 002853

RATING 8W
USE PRO POW AD ADAPTOR ONLY

I have a power supply where it is written :
230 V ~ 50 Hz
5V ----- 2,5A

and I have great problem with it because it causes my system reboot all the time when I am playing !! Can someone help me? Do you think it should come from the amperage of this power supply ( 2,5A !! ) ?? I saw that most of you who have a US system use a power supply of 5V with 3A when mine is only 2,5A !!

Thank

Not to be a downer, but this thread is over a month old. I'm sure Chris1 has collected the data he needs by now.

No not at all...I need as many as I can get..
There seems to be no way for people to match up Power supplies..to AES systems..
So..
I'm hoping that the more people post their AES information the more people it will help..by matching model numbers, similar in range serial numbers etc...

If this thread even helps just one person I'll be happy..
I really don't have enough info to make a FAG yet..I started this thread with a thought that I would get a ton of replies..I figured hey it's a neo geo site..

Ok, let's get this straight people. We DO NOT need to know what power supply you have with your console. We DO need to know what power supply is designated for your console (Written on the sticker located at the bottom of your console).

The reason for this is because too many power supplies have been swapped over the years. (Hopefully your power supply matches the sticker on the bottom of your console)

If your power supply does in fact match the power supply listed on the sticker, then please list all the sticker info and the power supplies input and output info. Thanks

To be honest I don't know much about the AES...and I can use all the help I can get..
Maybe you can get this going right...I really appreciate it..
We can make the FAQ's together..
