hellomy name is harry and im kinda new here and kinda new to the arcade game scene. ive always played games since my atari 7800 and my fav day owning a snes. ive played everything and every kinda game. i recently had the oppertunity to have a extra room in my house and couldnt think of what to do with. finally i remembered i always wanted arcade games and thats how it beagn. i loved every kind of arcade game where its a gun game classic pinball fighter and whatever. but one always had a glimmer in my heart more than anyother. the neo geo was always one of my favs. kof samurai shodown and metal slug were all eating my quarters when i was a kid. never had enough to buy the aes and only played it once when a freind rented it for his bday. i figured since i may not have alot of games the neo geo was perfect cause it had so many games i loved and can be switched out on the fly. i found one it great shape in conneticut so a quick ride from long island and i picked it up. it came with samurai shodown 2 snk vs capcom boot fatul fury special and kof 95. the marquees didnt match though came wit burning fight kof 97 metal slug and ninja combat minis. i had no idea what i was doing but slowly learned alil here and there. fixed my bad marquee light and just swaped in a bulb to replace it. replaced all buttons cause it came with yellow only. replaced joysticks and overlay. wired in a pause button and credit button. i still love puttin quarters in it though. i only got it in april and i have the bug cause ive spent alot gettn games covers boxes and art. i enjoy it every day. no more than 1 day a week goes by where im not playn at least 1 credit. from there i started recollecting alot of retro games i once had. now i own all the systems i wanted or owned and there all used and played when ever i find the time. the donkey kong jr cab was given to me for free and ive been working on it cleaning it and replacing things as i go. i had to have someone fix the monitor problem it had cause im not that skilled yet. but it plays great now and im only round $500 in it restoring it and i heard its worrth more than that so im not upset putting time and money in it. im thinking about selling it down the road for a pinball game. i also have another free cab out in my garage. its a marvel vs capcom game and its it rough shape but it works except the monitor. i plan on fixin that up to like new and put a 300 in 1 board in it and just enjoy the hell outa it. as for systems i have master system, nes, pc engine, genesis, saturn, turbo grafx, ps2, wii, n64 and my ps3 all alone in my game room. i also have a huge collection of movies that i love.

Hello my name is harry and im kinda new here and kinda new to the arcade game scene. Ive always played games since my atari 7800 and my favourite day was coming to own a Super Nintendo. I've played everything and every kinda game. I recently had the opportunity to have a extra room in my house and couldn't think of what to do with when finally I remembered that I always wanted arcade games and that's how it began.

Every arcade game I came across was always one I fell in love with whether it was a gun game, classic pinball, fighter or whatever. But the one that always held a special place in my heart more than anything was the Neo Geo. King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown and Metal Slug always had the attention of my quarters when I was much younger. I never had enough to buy the AES and only played it once, when a freind rented it for his birthday, but I figured that since I may not have enough to buy a lot of games, the Neo Geo was perfect since it had so many games I loved and the arcade carts could be switched out on the fly.

I eventually ended up finding a Neo Geo cabinet in great shape over in Connecticut so one quick ride later from where I was in Long Island and it was mine. It ended up coming with a full set of four games: Samurai Shodown 2, Fatal Fury Special, King of Fighters 95 and a SNK vs Capcom bootleg cart. The marquees didn't match as it had King of Fighers 95, Burning Fight, Metal Slug and Ninja Combat mini marquess for whatever reason. I had no idea what i was doing but slowly learned a little here and there. I fixed the bad marquee lighting by swapping the bulb, replaced all buttons as they were all yellow instead of the standard :A: :B: :C: :D:, replaced the joysticks and overlay and then finally wired in a pause button and credit button. Despite the credit button, I still love putting quarters in it though.

It's only been around since April but I've had the itch and have been spending a lot on game covers, boxes and other related art. I enjoy playing it every day and no more than one day a week goes by that I'm not putting in at least one credit into that machine. From there I started getting back into collecting a lot of retro games I used to own and now I own all the systems I owned plus a few more that I've always wanted. Whenever I find the time I make sure to give them all my attention.

In addition to my Neo Geo cab I managed to get a Donkey Kong JR cab for free at one point and I've been restoring it when I've had the time to do so, despite my limited knowledge. It had a monitor problem when I first go it so I got someone else to fix that but everything else I worked on. All that restoration eventually added up to $500, but it plays great now and there's the added plus that its apparent worth is greater than the cost of the work I put into it so I think it was a good tradeoff should I need to sell it in the future. If I do, I'm thinking of getting Pinball table to replace it. One other cab I managed to snag for free is an old Marvel Vs Capcom cab that's in rough shape. Everything but the monitor works in it and I plan on fixing it up eventually. I'm planning on putting a 300-in-1 board into it after it's all done and just enjoy the hell outta it.

As for home consoles I have the Master System, NES, PC Engine, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Turbo Grafx, Playstation 2, Wii, N64 and my Playstation 3 all in my game room. Along with all that I also have a huge collection of movies that i love.

Fixed :)
