Hi there,

I have just finished my CMVS project, and because i had a lot of fun building it, i would like to consolize a Hyper 64.

I have just bought an Hyper 64 + FFWA on ebay, and im waiting to recieve the packade at the moment.

I would like to use the waiting time to prepare some plans for the build, and i think i will go for the same solution, like on my CMVS project.

Therefore i just wanted to post a thread with my project, and with my questions :smirk:

Is there a specific guide like the CMVS guides on the net?

Does the Rev 2 fighting board have some kind of regulater on the sound output (on the MVS connector) so that i can take the sound from here (i would like to connect all wires to the MVS edge), and link it to the TV, without blowing out my TV speakers?

I have made this, for some future use, when consolizeing Neo Geo maschines:

mvs+pinout.bmp

Is this alle the connections i need to use, to get the Hyper up and running?

First, i will try to power the hyper with a ATX PSU. I will then see how much A the system needs, and then maybe build a costum PSU.

You should also wire up a test switch. I only say this because I don't know if you are gonna get a Rev2 or are asking about one. Just remember the Rev1 isn't MVS pinout.

Hi Yip man :)

It is the Rev.2, as far as the auction tells me.

Do you know if the Rev. 2 has som pot for the volumen? The Rev1 has one in the front, but from the pictures that i have seen on the Rev2, there isnt a pot.

Rev2 has a small dial on the front of the board itself.

Just recieved the Hyper 64 + game.

If i use the MVS setting, do i need to give the board -5V, or is it enough with +5V and +12V?

The MVS setting just changes the audio pinout and test switch location to match an MVS cab's pinout.

Okay, but i dont have a cab, and im gonna add some controlerports + A/V out port + Power input port to the Hyper64, and therefore i need to know what power it needs.

And im a bit confused if it is only Rev 1 thats needs -5V, or if its Rev 2 (i have rev 2) also.

Too do:

Wire the controlerports, AV, ...
Build PSU
Finish the case with some text maybe :D

...Test that the hole thing works :D?

Nice, I wish you had recessed controller ports though. Looks nicer and actually easier during the build when you wire it.

To think I almost accepted that it didn't have audio in the intro, duh!

Also, fantastic job on the consolization! fantastic!

Thanks for the help, and for the fine words :)

It could be awsome to have the FF:WA "boxed", and therefore:

Can someone give me the exact size of a normal HNG64 cardboardbox, hight, lenght, width (and btw for the standart MVS cardboardbox as well)?
Is there some website, where it is possible to download labels for the HNG64 games, to print out and glue to the box?

Familiy photo :)
