Here's the Big Red, which I've been working on since I got it and joined last September, all that's left is to replace the vinyl, re-install the coin door, and put on the new t-molding.

TKDei.jpg

I re-purposed a rack that fits MVS kits perfectly, and the sticker on the top comes courtesy of Mikhail; the empty spot is for the ever elusive MS3 kit.

Here's the shelf with some misc. stuff like NES, NGPC, GB, N64, Fami and SFami games, and my one WS game (Rockman). Most of the shelf is DS and 3DS though.

ApbF8.jpg

Here's the main tv and current gen stuff; the space is from one of our two PS3s that just died.

PS3, XB360, and Wii games.

That ST2 kit is complete, but the cart doesn't work, and the FF kit came with the cab. The rest is Genesis, PC (mostly the wife's), and the GBA stuff. I keep all the boxes and instructions for the GBA games packed away upstairs.

PSP and PS1...and yes, Xenogears is my favorite game of all. :D

The wife's personal games.

DC, Sega CD, Saturn (imports on the left with the DC stuff) my one NGCD game, and PS2.

qjl1A.jpg

SNES, although most of the boxes and manuals are in storage upstairs; Xbox and GC underneath.

JqYQa.jpg

Artbooks, most of which I had gotten during my time in animation.

mMUBc.jpg

Here's the second tv where I play all the old games. The other PS3 is also dead right now (used it for PS2 and PS1 play) and all the other systems are upstairs in storage atm, but the SNES always sees a lot of play. The little guy wanted to see what I was up to :)

Okay, so this is upstairs and this room has all the collectibles packed away in these boxes from when the wife and I moved cross country. We don't plan on unpacking until we move to the house we are looking to have built in the next couple of years, but there are quite a number of gaming collectibles and all the CE boxes for various titles. I've even got the No More Heroes toilet paper in one of those boxes, but the systems are in plain view because I do hook them up from time to time. These last few pics are just place holders, and I'll post more of the goodies as I have time.

Thanks for looking folks!

Awesome collection man. With all of the RPG fans we have around here, it is interesting that there isn't more RPG talk. Are those Romancing Saga games for SNES PAL or Japanese? Unfortunately, there were quite a few RPGs on SNES that didn't make it to North America.

So you got the Last Story? I love how it looks like a book.

The BTTF poster really ties the room together... as it would for any room. That kit rack is pretty sweet too!

That is just an awesome gaming library! Great mix of retro and modern mainstream. Now you just need some PCBs :)

And I'm pretty sure you'll have that Metal Slug 3 MVS kit space filled up eventually ;)

Thanks 90's, and those Romancing Saga games are Jap. I used to buy heavily from yahoo Japan, and almost all of the imports you see there for the SF were bought in a lot for 50$.

nice goodie set ren!!!!!
Thanks Panda, I can only imagine what your monstrous setup must look like!

Thanks! The rack used to be a vendor paid Emzone (compressed air, etc.) rack that I re-purposed when it was being thrown out. It's pretty nice to have the kits readily available for quick swapping.

Thanks Mikhail! I'm starting to transition from what I've been collecting over to PCB's and maybe another cab or two. Thanks for the reassurance on the MS3 :D

Yep, it's an original The Wizard movie poster. It's hard to see from the glare, but the two at the head of the bed in the background are The Goonies and Tron. To the left of the shelf with the PS2 stuff is a T2 movie poster as well. I love the Wizard, naysayers be damned! :D

This page is particularly dangerous because I see a lot of (RP)Games that I sold over the years and wouldn't mind having on the shelf again. :lolz:

Additionally, my collecting really slowed down starting at the end of the PS2's life... lots of newer stuff (LE's, especially) is catching my eye.

I see you have the Xenogears Perfect Works book (that was quite expensive back in the day), but I don't see the Xenogears: Cried soundtrack on that shelf! Maybe I missed it... but if not, you really should pick it up. Also, is there any significance to the 2 non-GH copies of Xenogears (ie. different prints)?

Would really like to see all of the SNES boxes you have too. :)

The little guy seems like a nice addition to your collection. Owning one of those means you'll see an increase in value in a manner of years ;)

We finally made the move 'cross-country to P.E.I in February, and so I finally have the space to make a game room for the family. I took a quick look at the old pics in this thread and had a laugh, but I suppose I made do with whatever space I could get at the time. It's been a lot of fun putting the room together with my wife and kids, so here it goes.

Here's a general look at the room and it's size. It's big enough for the most part, we just had to put all the current gen stuff (PS4, XBOne, Switch, 3DS, and Vita) in the living room and do a bit of a culling for the sake of shelf space, which was a nice opportunity to re=evaluate.

Artwork is really important to me, and so I got some neat advertisements to compliment the movie posters.

Long shots, first wall...mostly Nintendo.

I'm a big SNES fan, they get a lot of play

Microsoft at the bottom with the controller baskets. I love that banner from Richard

Here's the Trinitron I picked up on Craig's when I moved here, and that old school neon that I love. There's a space there for one last poster that I'll be framing shortly (SNES). That Yo-Kai was my son's idea ;)

Looks really good Ren. I used to have that same Neon Nintendo sign (it has a pull chain to power on right?). It was bright af. You just need one of those fibre optic signs now and your game room will be complete.

On to the back wall. My trusty old Aquos with more of the HDMI based stuff.
snVquX1.jpg

The GC gets some heavy rotation, and being such a huge Mega Man fan, I just had to get that MMX GC controller back in the day. The bauble is a Fire Emblem item that a Nintendo rep gave me back in 2008 from Nintendo HQ because she new I'm a also a huge fan of all things Fire Emblem.
yZogwLG.jpg

On to the Sega shelf. I've really been discovering all these great titles I never knew about on Genesis and Sega CD over the past year and a half. I wanted to go for a POS vibe for the top with the Topps cards and blind boxes (Chrono Trigger and MM).
6Suu6iW.jpg

Behind is the cubby with system boxes, some boxed consoles, and a lot of promo items (the No More Heroes toilet paper is pretty funny). Basically, storage space.

The Big Red that brought me to the site. It's almost done, I just need to cut the formica, get the t-moulding on and re-assemble the coin mech.

Here's what I kept on MVS, and that SF Anniversary standee that I jacked from work years ago.

And here we are, full circle at the GB(C)/GBA/DS shelf. GBA is probably my favorite library and gets a lot of play.

Thanks CR! Yep, that sign has the pull chain. The SNES fibre optic sign is on the list as well as the Authorized Nintendo Repair Centre sign. I'm moving more towards promo material and merchandizing stuff no that I've got almost everything I've been after game-wise. One of those bartop SNES demo kiosks would be AWESOME to get someday.

Everything looks great. A clean game room looks so much nicer than a cluttered one. Jealous of the cib snes games you have, very cool. The Advertisements are a nice touch.

Wow, that's heavenly... so good to see all those US stuff! For you it's common, for me it's quite the opposite. You get rarely offered American versions in Germany and custom fees plus expensive shipping kill the fun of importing them directly. The original merchandise is a knock out!!!

By the way, I probably dig your stellar PS1 collection the most. And your Xenogears love, too. Fourth time is the charm ;).

Congrats Renmauzo!
