SO can any one tell me if this is normal? Both Toshiba and Sharp?

The 242 NGH # on the chips is correct for KOF 98.

And the board layout matches the MVS Scans page for set #7 (Toshiba Chips). ( http://mvs.gotwalls.com/index.php/King_of_Fighters_'98 )

But, it looks like board scan in set #7 has all Toshiba chips and the board scan in set #6 has all Sharp chips. (ibid.)

So, do the solder welds on the back of your boards look nice and neat, like a factory job, or do these look messy, like a hand job?

Legit. Doesn't matter at all if they're mixed.
