So its been a week now.

Have folks stopped playing their Vita yet?

Any regrets?

I'm still enjoying mine, although Wipeout 2048 is the only game I have for it right now. I've been playing it until midnight every night this week. Overall, I think it's a very impressive piece of tech. To me, it's almost like a portable PS3. I'll prolly get another game or two this weekend. I wanna get BlazBlue and UMvC3 since I love fighters, but I also want to check out the new Lumines, and get Uncharted.

Just waiting for another B2G1 sale so I can pick up Blazblue CSEX, Unit 13, and maybe Disgaea 3.

I wasn't terribly impressed with the Unit 13 demo. I know it's not Call of Duty, but it felt like a very generic military themed shooter. I'm looking forward to Disgaea though, and I'd like to get BlazBlue as well.

I used to import directly from Japan back in the day come system launches, but I thought I would wait for the PS Vita, as I don't game as much as I used to.

I saw some footage of the the various games over the last couple of months and decided to get one at the western launch.

I got the WiFi model, Wipeout and Marvel.

I then made the mistake of downloading SF Alpha 3 from the PSN. I much prefer this to Marvel, which I thought was shite, so i got shot of that and got Katamari. I also picked up Rayman.

It's a bit of a nightmare really, all of the games I settled with are really good, but I should have bought them one at a time because I can never decide what to play!

Also I really, really like the motorstorm game, it may not be the best looking game, but its very, very addictive.

It's a cracking handheld, I just really wish I had the time to play as much as I want to.

I'm ordering this today.

After trying the demo unit at Best Buy, I was amazed by the Vita from a tech standpoint.

The only weakness this thing has IMO, is the memory card pricing.

If Sony would have been charging maybe $50 for the 32GB card, I think they would have well over 2 million worldwide sold. The pricing is moronic at best. I'll just settle for a 8GB card...I have no intention of buying Vita games digitally. I'll stick to physical copies.

that's been the deterrent for me

other than that i think it's an amazing system that i really want to own

but because of those memory card price points i'm going to wait it out a bit

I don't get how in 2012 given the price of memory storage, they thought charging $100 for a 32GB card was a good idea. The 500GB HD I use in my PS3 was cheaper to buy than a 32GB Vita card, it's unreal. It's annoying that the best thing Sony did with the PS3 was allow owners to swap out the HD for a much bigger one. Too bad they couldn't have carried that flexibility over to the Vita.

The price on that 32gb memory card is still a deal breaker for me.

It's gouging at its finest.

You can get a SanDisk 32gb over at Amazon for $33.99.

Well so is the Xbox 360's proprietary hard drive, but people seem to keep buying 360's.

Not that either is right mind you, but I'm not passing on a handheld that really puts Nintendo's offerings to shame just because of the memory card pricing.

Next week TRU is having all DS, 3DS, and Vita games buy 1 get 1 50% off. No Disgaea, but you could get Blazblue and Unit 13.

I'm growing tired of new systems, but I do want to play the Ys IV remake that Falcom is making. I might pick up a Vita just for that.

Otherwise, I'm all retro and PC gaming these days. Ironic considering I bought a 360 last November.

Ducked into my local Best Buy today to see if they had any decent Vita cases. (they didn't)

I was surprised to see bare shelves. There were just a couple of the shitty games available and the systems were sold out. They had a pretty big section too, that covered the a good bit of both sides (of the aisle). The only games left were on an endcap, and therefore a bit more difficult to find.

Not really a fair comparison since there are easy ways to work around the 360's proprietary storage : USB flash drives and DIY hard drives.

Thanks for the info. I hope Amazon matches it.

What's easier, swapping out the PS3 HD which takes a few minutes or doing work arounds for the 360 HD?

The latter is slightly less easy.

Worlds easier than reverse-engineering the Vita memory cards, at least. :p

They are selling, in higher income areas of course. Portland area was slim pickings. Coastal (lower income) areas, I can walk into the local walmart equivalent and their stock looks like it hasn't been touched.

Hope someone finds a way.

From what I've been told there's a upcoming update to make it so

I also hear you should be able to do it with the new version of the content manager app you can download directly from the sony site

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. If that doesn't work, I'll just wait.

UGH that memory pricing is a bummer - I guess I should not be surprised - it is Sony. How are they doing it in this day & age - well, how is Capcom still doing 3 versions of the same game - 'it's just good business.' ha. In all seriousness though - to those that own one - how do the fighters play? Is it awkward to hold for long periods of time, is the d-pad ok? etc. Thanks!

Heads up, guys. The Vita version of Motorstorm RC is free for a limited time on the PSN Store. Get it while it's hot.

I tried downloading the latest version of Content Manager, but it still wouldn't work. Guess I'll just have to wait.

My hands aren't enormous by any means but I find myself having a hard time using the D-pad and buttons 'cause the analog sticks get in the way a bit too much. It's maybe something to get used to I'm sure but all the good work put unto the hardware is wasted 'cause that D-pad is great if it had the space to be used. If they had placed the analog thumbs like the PSP it would have been way better and it would have looked even more slick. As it is, it's a real shame 'cause it's the only thing stoppping me from jumping on the wagon.

Anyone experience any hand cramping or numbness? I ask only because using the PSP Go for about 15 minutes would cramp up my hands, and even the regular PSP would feel uncomfortable after a while. I remember the DSi XL as being the only one comfortable enough for something like an hour of gameplay.
