To make your own version of this conversion does it matter if the b-board is a 91634B-2 or 91635B-2

The JP CE boards use a 91634B-2 "B" board; however, the US/WORLD CE boards use a 91635B-2 "B" board.

Now, go study your MKL.

The type of eproms you'll have to use is going to be different , otherwise it doesnt matter.

It is the sound chips if im not mistaken.

More reason to buy a original.

I only played conversions, mame and the saturn port, but dont they all have somewhat scratchy sound effects?

Just read the klov thread, it appears to be just another baseless idotic statement from luke morse. Both conversions and original sound the same.

What EPROM sizes do CPS-1 boards support? Can you use anything larger than a 4mbit rom? I have a magic sword board on the way and may want to convert it in the future if I can.

Really? Convert a magic sword? Why not just get a cheap SF CE? There are thousands of those.
