Your memory is pretty bad old man. :tickled:
I know exactly what you are supposed to remember and that wasn't it.
It was the cover to Love Hina. BIG can vouch for it.

Wow even if that were true how is that even remotley related to his ability to play games? 300 calls you an old man so I assume your at least old enough to realize your posting like a sixth grader. I made this thread as a means of friendly communication between people in my local area so I would appreciate it if you would stop spamming it with claims that cannot be backed up and the bashing of other members.:D

It's all good. Jorge means no harm and is just giving me a hard time since we haven't talked to each other for a while. He is actually pretty good at KOF. :eek_2:

Found out my last day at this company is 4/29. So sometime between now and then I'll have to bring my cab home. I am also sort of thinking about getting a 31kHz something. I could... talk to kingsley... but it just seems like a lot of hassle every time. Maybe I should try the gameroom guys this time?

Anyone local have any insight into getting high res candies?

I know Kingsly is getting some blast city's in soon you should at least give him a call and get ballpark pricing. If you are just looking to play some 31hz games though you could just pick up a tri sync monitor or chassis. I rember seeing 2 9400 chassis with yoke listed on klov for $50. You can get them repaired for $80 through allgood tech services and have a digital svga setup for under $150 and a little elbow grease

Ken at the gameroom has a New Net City cab that looks damn nice. He wants like $2,000 for it though (not including shipping). He also has a Net City cab with MvC2 for like $1800 or so (before shipping).

If you want to buy a tri sync monitor in the Bay Area... Betson West in Hayward sells Makivision tri sync monitors for about $450 (somewhere around there). They are flat CRT monitor that uses a LG tube with a Wei-Ya chassis (3129D).

I wouldn't want to change the monitor on my astro, as I already like it the way it is. I am interested in a Blast City, Uni, NNC, or Atomiswave SD. I'm thinking Uni or NNC are my best bet since I plan to run a naomi in it. And I want the sitdown kind.

I will call Kingsley though for sure. Definitely easier price on shipping than anyone else, and it's easier to haggle in person than over email or phone.

After studying pics and doing some research I think I've narrowed it down to an Atomiswave SD or a Blast City.

I like the look of the Atomiswave SD more.
I like the Sega sized CP of the Blast more.

Which would be easier to hook a naomi up to? I'm guessing the blast? Do you guys know if blasts come wired for JVS by default?

I know nothing about the Atomiswave SD, so I will not comment on it.
But the Blast City... If you get one, make sure you get a 001 loom, then you can run both JAMMA and Naomi. It will cost you about $75 or so for a used one. Blast City are originally Model 3 cabs, so not really JVS. But like I said, get the 001 loom and you will have a JAMMA and JVS compatible cab.

Kingsley told me $800-1000 on the blasts, and they'll here in 2 weeks. I told him I'd call him back in 2 weeks and see what's up.

800 is not bad for one in decent shape espicially if he throws in buttons sticks and doesnt charge you tax. I'm guessing if you had one shipped you would at very minimum pay 1200. Lemme know when he gets them and I might roll with you to see if he will sell me a loose service door for mine plus then I can help you chissel him a lil:lolz:

How does this work exactly? I looked up pictures of that loom and it's got a jamma edge, jvs power connectors, and rca cables coming out of it. So... Does this mean I can run a naomi + gdrom without a secondary power supply? I don't see any usb ends, so do I still need an IO board? Does it pick up mono sound from jamma or rca stereo somehow? Does it work with CPS2 QSound by plugging in those RCAs?

Let's say I get this blast city w/ the 001 loom. I have a naomi, gdrom, and capcom IO. Do I need anything else to play 2 players with 1 joystick and 6 buttons each? What about with a CPS2?

Hey, you guys beat us this year in overtime. I was at that game and I have to say, being there in person and losing by a few points in OT was far worse than getting crushed by like 40+ when I watched the game at your house years ago. Although that day I lost with football and every fighting game we played. Wish I would have played against you more back then and actually learned how to play better. Funny how you think you're good at something until you actually play someone who is good. I'm still getting my ass handed to me by my girl's (now wife) lil brother, lol.

Yeah, good times. Even my parents moved away from Sonoma and Marin areas (They live in the city now days).

Now I have two kids, future neo players... :glee:

Once they're old enough I'll get them engaged in some games, for now they can
try to play Wii.

I don't have a GD-rom, so I don't know anything about that. But the 001 loom will let you power a Naomi without a secondary power supply. You will still need an I/O, but you can get a Sega one, which is much cheaper than the Capcom I/O (which won't power a GD-rom anyway). With the 001, you can get stereo from the RCA connector, so plugging in a CPS-2 is as simple as plugging in those RCA plugs into the CPS-2 board and changing the menu to stereo in the game options.
