So after a long break from Neo Geo, I am back to playing it regularly. I would really like to add some more shooters to my collection but don't want to spend over $50 (per game) at the moment. I have all the Metal Slugs, Shock Troopers 2, Blazing Star, and Sonic Wings 3. Thanks!

Uhh, I think you've about nailed it for MVS. Last Resort and Viewpoint are fun but more than $50 on MVS.

I got my Zed Blade from Yaton for 15 bucks. It is no Blazing Star, but I love it.

Shock Troopers 1 for sure. The 2nd one is fun but ST1 is fucking badass. Pulstar, Viewpoint, Prehistoric Isle 2, Ghost Pilots are a few others that are good. Ninja Commando is another good title that doesnt get mentioned all the time.

IMHO Cyber-Lip beats out half of the slugs and the mvs version is dirt cheap.

ASO 2 for sure. Not sure how much the MVS version costs, but it cant be that much.

Nice old school shooter. At first I wrote it off as a spacey version of Ghost Pilots, but when I finally got it I realized it was better in every way possible. in fact, I prefer it to many of the more "high profile" shmups on the neo

Nobody has mentioned Strikers 1945 Plus yet for some reason, which is a fantastic game. It's more than $50 but quite worth it.

Shock Troopers 2 would be nice it didnt have so much slowdow. The first one is much better IMO

I dont know what your budget it but Blazing Star is worth every penny. I find it more fun with the scoring mechanics over Pulstar.

For affordable shooters, you simply can't go past NG DEV TEAM.

But seriously, Zed Blade is a fantastic game. As is Strikers 1945 Plus.

Of course Strikers, Viewpoint, and PI2 are all great game, but these are out of the provided price range.

The only quality game remaining that you do not have that's at $50 or below is Aero Fighters 2. Cyber-Lip is not a shooter, it's an RGS, but definitely worthwhile at <$50.

Thanks for all the recommendations! :buttrock:

I have been trying to get Pulstar, Strikers 1945, Shock Troopers, and Viewpoint for quite some time now but just cant find a price I am willing to pay. I will look into Zed Blade, Alpha Mission II, Sonic Wings 2, Ninja Commando, and Cyber-Lip though.

I've never thought much of Viewpoint. Tried many times to get into it, I just can't.

The other shooters on the system absolutely annihlate it in my opinion.

Last Resort:At least i think it can't get to expensive.
Ninja Commando
Cyber-Lip:Yeah it's run'n'gun but it is playable.
Aero Fighters 2

That's all i can think of as for pulstar, viewpoint, blazing star and PI2 can get up there in price.
