I LOVE the youtube uploading feature that's going to be in this game. If it uploads the match in HD, that's even more amazing. I'm so pumped for this release

Amen.. I need 3s comp to bring my fighter spirit back in full swing..

I played on GGPO today for the 1st time in a while. I got the Venetian blinds and was reminded how much we really need this release.

I'll be representing the ol' Alex/Denjin-Ryu duo. Do you still play Hugo, or are am I mistaking you for somebody else?

Ive been thinking about maining Denjin Ryu as well. But Im also considering Chun, Ken or Yang. Watching KO play as Yang makes me want to use him.

The slippery slope with Denjin Ryu is people will accuse others of using him to exploit lag if they lose. I can almost feel the drop thinking about hitting somebody in the corner with a full Denjin, and it happening right in the middle of the follow up combo.

I'm really hoping for a SFIII mega-mix scenario...music + backgrounds from THREE & W IMPACT along w/ the 3rd Strike.

I really enjoyed DarkStalkers/Vampire and SF II when they got this treatment, so who knows?

Even if it is 3rd Strike all on its own, it'll be great to play w/ you guys.

Silly question; Will PS3 & 360 peeps be able to vs. eachother cross platform?

Fuck Yun and the Genei Jin.... makes me cringe just thinking about how many Yun/Ken/Bum-Li's people are going to be subjected to constantly having to fight with.... especially while a whole stock of fresh interest gets drafted into playing 3s with this release.

For myself, Im working on improving my Necro to be able add a new slot to my bench... despite him being a damage sieve, he is still pretty fun and Ive always liked him but just never really put the time in to getting good with him. Time, of course being the most important thing at getting past the "dabbling" stage and really uncovering any characters potential.

As for someone else mentioning that they are hoping to see costumes, levels, music, etc. from other SF3 games...that is a pretty strong possibility actually. They have hinted at having some sort of DLC available for the game and this would make the most sense to me as it is something that already exists and requires a nominal amount of time and effort really on their end to cash in on.

If they make eggplant Urien available.... I feel sorry for people already!

I wouldn't worry about new players coming in and dominating with the top three. If you are getting beat by Chun/Yun/Ken players who just picked up the game yesterday, you just need practice.

Not that I'm good or anything.

true that... but I think you missed the point, winning or losing is not even the issue. Its about the game being over saturated with players choosing those characters and then being inundated with endless matches facing off against the same 3 chumps. Regardless of the persons skill level.

So yeah, not particularly worried about losing to any of those 3 characters regardless who is playing them as Ive fought them enough times to know how their game works.... but holy shit do I find it boring, tedious and in some cases utter nonsense fighting them. Of the three though, Yun does give me the most hard time. So much shit does not work on him and is exclusive to him (and his brother). Pretty much every Yun I have ever crossed with plays the same exact way... not much variety with the way people play him, which is another reason why I dislike fighting him... its just get boring and repetitive. But even knowing his dumb attack strings and set-ups before they happen I still find myself getting swept away sometimes. Chocking on the corner block when under Genei Jin mix-up block pressure, letting myself get dive kick crossed up... all that bullshit that I know how to defend and beat for some reason still works! Terribly frustrating. A good Yun player is a real threat against my team...

I can understand that. But thats just how fighting games are, people are going to play the high tiers. I know you are aware of this so I hope you don't think I'm trying to talk down to you or anything. I guess I just don't really mind playing the top three a lot. Even somewhere like Japan might have a lot more low tier players but I bet if you broke it down you'd still have a majority playing Chun/Yun/Ken. Or Makoto and Dudley.

I can't really think of any low tier specialists in America though. Renic plays Alex (is he even considered low tier? I think hes like low-mid) and MutantXP uses Necro. I really can't think of any Q or Remy players over here.

Oh dont worry dude, I completely agree with you actually... so no need to worry about offending me. You're right though... it's always a nice treat playing someone who brings out a Q or Necro or even a Oro... and even more so when the person is actually good. But the overall majority of players or going to choose characters that have a higher "tolerance" against other fighters. Takes a lot of work to get good at the low tier characters. To be totally honest Im not even sure where each character officially stands in the tier list having never even glanced at it, but definitely Necro, 12, Q populate the lower rungs I would guess.

Never seen MutantXP but I seem to recall hearing that name, going to look up some youtube vids and hopefully gleen some Necro strats from him... thanks for that!

I doubt you'll see costumes in DLC. Where have they hinted at DLC?

No not costumes but the alternate colors that were available in second impact.... I'll find the info later on and post it up.
