So are we going with baby is dead or alive? Hopefully they go the comic route and leave it dead at the prison, but me and the wife think one of the small kids or Tyreese doubled back to grab her.

I think Bob (guy from The Wire) got the baby. They made a point of him being shot, but it went through so he was ok, would explain the blood in the baby carrier.

Show is alright a bit bloated in places. Which is a stark contrast to the comics, stuff happens at a million miles an hour in those.
I find it hard to emote to any of the characters because they are likely to die. I liked Hershel though

Frank Darabont is suing AMC for unpaid royalties due to early contract termination and changes to royalty calculations.

This wouldn't be shocking given the track record of the media industry and their always fair treatment of content creators. I know he didn't create the source material but he's the architect of the entire show.

Also not shocking how much Amc tried to cut costs on TwD while sucking every shriveled cock at sony for licenses. Fuck Amc. That channel has nothing to offer anymore. Nothing.

Ditto on Taiso's points about the Governor's new daughter's death and the pacing of the episode.

Another scene that had us muttering was the final assault on the prison. In the comic it was completely believable that after two different unsuccessful attacks the Governor would finally comandeer the tank and break through the perimeter, thus also destroying the same fences that help make the prison a safe location. He did not show any such exasperation in the show, pretty much immediately choosing to demolish the fencing and blow up the same building he desperately wants.

Because it makes perfect sense to blast holes in the building walls instead of aiming the tank's cannon at the cars where Rick's group is hiding.

Now Frank Darabont is suing AMC for lost profits.

I can only imagine how strong the show would have been with him at the helm.

I watched this last episode by fast forwarding through almost the entire episode for two reasons.
1. The commercials. I am pretty sure this episode had more commercials than content.
2. I missed none of the content, and I still see what happens.

Spoiler:
I had no idea where this episode was going until I saw he size of the shovel they had to use to dig Tyrese's grave right at the end, it really tied the whole thing together. I think it's called art. I heard some people like it.

Long drawn thoughts below...

Spoiler:
I really feel there is some awesome foreshadowing going on all over the place in this episode. Washington is now the new goal (for everyone). We now have that established. With that out of the way, now to get there (which I'm sure they won't, anytime soon, if ever). I feel this "wolves" group will be the next group they have to face. The devastation on the colony was definitely man-made. Sabotaged, burnt houses, people killed by other than walkers...it's all there.

Then there's the intentionally mutilated walkers. Some cut in half, some missing limbs...and that tuck of torsos at the end. The one that falls directly on the windshield had a giant "W" carved into the forehead. Definitely some group...not sure why they're doing what they're doing...guess we'll see.

I always want to see she shit hit the ground running but I fully expect that with these new "half-seasons"...it was a slow start, but I'm ok with that.

We're really starting to see the meaning of the "walking dead" at this point. I think the symbolism of humanity being dead no matter what is really starting to bleed through. The characters really are walking-dead...they just haven't physically died yet. The Rick/Glenn conversation in the driveway was a good indication that they are now becoming robotic killers that will look at any moving thing that is in their way as an obstacle rather than another human. Ironic figuring they were two of the softer characters at the start. Humanity, for now, is dead...no matter how you look at it.

Personally...I love the show, I love the easter eggs...I'm really enjoying it at the moment.

Great summary and echo's my current feels towards the show.

That said, I'm pretty bummed that...
Spoiler:
Tyresse got offed, he was one of my favourite characters.

This was how I felt about the episode too.

I am not even a Tyrese fan, but I thought the episode was poorly placed and it should have been saved for later in the season or the series.

Yeah and no...I still feel it is symbolic of the shedding of their human side. One piece at a time, any scrap of humanity is dying...in every element. he was a remaining piece of that...

*EDIT*

To add to that...I believe he no longer had a place.

In this "world", any compassion, or any actions based on the thought that people can be civil blows up in their faces...every time.

He had cost the group quite a few times with his unwillingness to adapt to this new world...read below:

Spoiler:
Even, at the end, he was ensconced in the emotional moment and let his guard down while looking at pictures of the twins...which ultimately cost him his life.

Here we go...I have a feeling the entire direction of the show is about to change.

As for this new town...I 100% feel this is not sinister...they are prey. They need Rick and co to save them because they are bunch of softies that cannot defend themselves. If Captain ROTC is they best they've got...they are definitely in trouble...

I also think that the young girl is a mole for some stronger group...she's up to no good. I'd wager that this "other group" is who took Rick's Glock and planted that walker to wait for him. This seems to be the same group that raided the last stronghold...and they seem to use walkers as weapons.

I have a strong feeling this is going to become "rick'ville"...

If this show is to continue, they're going to have to settle down for a bit...and I feel this is the place. I bet that from this point on, warring factions, invasions and politics start becoming a big part of the show.

not a reader of the comics then? they've already announced the new villain a while back- so while they may change up the events, the core is in place for a pretty fun ride.

Nope...not at all.

*EDIT*

I gotta add, Carol is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. She is one determined, driven woman...and this "domestic" move on her part is awesome.

I also love the concept of not being able to take the wild back out of the man. When Rick and Carl killed those walkers near the end of the show...they were doing it for sport and enjoyment, there was a definite look of satisfaction on their faces.

God that scene where they were driving in the dark and hit the shiton of zombies scared the fuck out of me. You'd think they would get trapped under the wheels like an eariler episode.

Loved the most recent episode.

It's very faithful to the comic and I can't wait to see how it develops. The leader of Alexandria; Deanna is a great character, she's a no-shit business woman and I can see her bringing out the good and bad in a lot of characters.

Rick is still looking out for the group though as number 1. - "If they can't make it, we'll take this place." He's not going to get soft.

And what about the hubby of the chick who cut Rick's hair, those two are going to punch on for sure!

When I tell people that the Governor was my favourite character, they are surprised because they think he is a monster, but it seems like Rick is becoming more and more like the Governor, but he is still perceived as a good guy somehow. I was disappointed when Ty was killed off as he seemed like the only likeable character left IMO.
