Won't shed a tear for either one of 'em
Solid episode last night.
T-Dog: I was just starting to like him. But really, I have to agree with everyone that believes his 'replacement' is just a reboot of T-Dog's basic concepts, and the writers will try harder to make him relevant. The guy even has the same humanistic viewpoint that T-Dog started showing in this season before he got the axe.
Lori: I'm actually glad they did this because Rick's development will be interesting to see. He had his chances to make up with her and didn't. Does this make him realize he should have softened up sooner, or does it make him more vicious?
Still holding up for me. Better than season 2 by far, IMO.
The wife and I are two and half seasons into this shit show (recommended by a buddy from work), and it's all I can do to help myself from laughing at all the cliches in this absolute snore fest of a TV show.
Seriously, this reminds me of a half ass "Days of ours lives" soap opera with some "end of the world apocalyptic zombies" tossed in the mix, at some half ass attempt to keep the audience wondering why this show even exists.
And HOLY cliche BATMAN! Seriously, WTF?
Okay, I'll go put my flame suit on now.
What a whopper of an episode!
Carl is certainly delivering! When is he going to finger-bang Beth?
Did anyone ever see that episode of the Simpsons where they kill off Fat Tony, replace him with Fit Tony, who lets himself go until he himself becomes another Fat Tony...and then the show goes on like nothing happened?
You guys already know what I'm getting at, but as inconsequential as it was, the death of a long running character really bums me out.
Actually, what's the deal with black people having so few lines? (like Michonne etc.) Are the writers so afraid of looking incompetent when attempting to capture the spirit, the vernacular, and mannerisms, etc. of the average black american man/woman...so they just make them stoic, introverted loners of few words and subtle actions? It's like a few notches over the magical brother crutch in film making, but still...
And speaking of replacements..I have a feeling that second convict with the curleh moustache will be filling a vacancy left behind by Hershel after the production team gets sick of making him look like he's missing a leg in every shot. The team will need a folksy Mr. Fix-it type and killing off the dad of two daughters makes for good drama.
you know you saw the eye Beth gave Carl meant the kitty room is open for business.
Or at least get Kirkman in the same room as Georges R.R. Martin and Lucas so he can see the opposite sides of how a remake/story retelling should be done?
More likely scenario:
Spoiler:Merle escapes with Darryl, comes back to the prison with him, gets a headcount and gathers intelligence and returns to the Governor beggnig forgiveness and reporting his findings so they know what they're dealing with.
Didn't occur to me that this might be the Governor's plan all along.
Spoiler:That Merle's in on it already and the hope is that he can force Darryl to join him after they kill everyone else at the prison and all of this is just to fool Darryl into bringing Merle along as a 'sympathy' in.
Don't know why I didn't think of that sooner.
they had to go and kill off another black man....
racist bastards!
