Van Gaal really did knew how to play with his 1st match 1-0 advantage.

Bayern is stronger, but I truly believe if the result ended in a draw in the first leg, Lyon wouldn't ever lost by 0-3 at home.

There is no question about Bayern's victory tho.

Bayern destroyed Lyon. And sadly, next season the best in France will not be in the CL, except Marseille. It's pretty clear that Lyon and Bordeaux are far off the CL now, and maybe Lyon can get the 4th spot, but after a defeat like this, it's going to affect them mentally against their league matches...

Aye, Lyon got pumped for sure. Still it's the best a French teams donE inthe Champions League for years though.

impressive Victory that was. Olic is a monster! The cheapest but most effective goal-getter Bayern München has. The most expensive ones sit on the bench.

Unfortunately for them, the 4th spot won't let them play the CL play-offs qualifier. It'll be UEFA CUP.

As for going this far, Marseille back in the day reach the final and won against the best AC Milan ever(!) and lost a final to Red Star Belgrad.
They had a spectacular team
