I was watching some 2009 footage of body building, and saw some vids of Jay Cutler, and can't help but think that this shit looks awful. HUGE bellies and just out of control mass. Sure, it takes a tremendous amount of work, but nothing will beat the lean Urien looking body builders of the late 70s, early 80s. Frank Zane and Serge Nubret look so much better than this crap coming out today.

They're all gross.

None of them had it right.

A total lack of balance.

The focus on one aspect neglects the others.

Speed, Endurance, Strength, Power, and Flexibility.

The harmonious balance of these five are the true essence of physical fitness.

Much respect to those that achieve perfection in one field or another but I'm far more impressed by someone who can balance all five of these aspects into everyday living than I am by someone who focuses/perfects on one or two aspects.

At least when he passes on from a massive heart attack, the NFL can make a quarter's worth of footballs, which Jay Cutler can then pass and have intercepted frequently.

This man is why I started bodybuilding. More emphasis on proportion and overall appeal than "let's see who can get the biggest muscles!" I hate that mentality.

The thing with Arnold is his abs were pretty shitty. Even when in ultimate shape, they weren't super amazing. Still a big mother fucker without having the extended belly crap we see nowadays.
