Might want to get into hyper- suggestions?

I was thinking of getting into the Hyper since it's a fairly inexpensive system to play about with. Anything I should know? What games are good? What revision do I want to have? Are the carts region protected? Is the board Jamma compatible? Can I consolize it?

There are 4 different board versions.

* Fighting - Only plays the 4 fighting games
* Driving - Only plays the 2 driving games
* Shooting - Only plays Beast Busters:Second Nightmare
* Korean - Only plays the 2 Samurai Shodown Games

As american carts are very hard to find, i think you won't bother anyway, but i guess it wasn't region protected.

Yes. There is a nice consolized one on jamma nation x http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/gallery.html

You can buy a rev 1 and convert it to true jamma with a simple mod. Plus you can get them for about $20.

I've thought about this for a long time.

I'd really like to get one for the Samurai Spirits games. However, I have zero experience with superguns, etc...

So, I get the mobo, carts and a supergun, hook them up and voilà?
