Halo 3 multiplayer anyone?

I'm game for it. It seems to be one of the few co-op type games I have in common with people. Say what you will, but I've always had a blast with Halo multiplayer. I just wish my game was more consistant. Some days I'm on fire. Other days are met with me being curb stomped.

Now, I actually REALLY enjoy gunning in the Gauss warthog. Holy shit is that fun.

I am getting a little burned out on Fallout 3, so I'll probably be giving it a rest over the weekend. It's time for some multiplayer goodness. I'll probably be on Halo tonight after 9ish.

Might be around tonight.

Have to help a buddy move tomorrow so I don't want to be up too late.

Finally got a Rampage! medal too.

Me and some British kid totally messed up some Blues with the Warthog.

Do really need to work on Legendary though.

Certainly like to do that some time.

Changed my XBL name three times so far.

Kind of get bored with what I choose after a while.

I played some 7 on the 7th last night. Big mistake.

Out of all the games I played I ended up with a +22 k/d. It would have been more like a +40 or more, but in one game these fuckfaces on my team all decided to quit because we were losing early on. I spent the rest of the round trying to hide from the other team while they raped me 4 on 1. So many fucking quitters on that playlist, I decided to switch to social slayer instead. At least people don't usually quit out the second it looks like they won't win the round.

Then in a Social Slayer game I ran into a team of griefers. The ones that shoot you enough to drop your shields so that the enemy kills you 2x easier. They were betraying too. I provoked them into killing me so that I could boot them from the game. It ended up in another 4 on 1 situation with only me left, but I actually almost won the game. It came very close. I was killing 3 of them at once.

It's not usually like this. I'm used to running into a couple of fucktards now and then, but last night was like a full fucking moon or something.

I guess it's what I get for playing alone, but there was no one else on to play with. :mad:

The Halo 3 community is terrible.

A good 70% of the time I end up turning my mic off or muting at least one person.

Luckily it's still a large community so you can find cool people.

Don't know if it's coincidence or not but the coolest people I've played with were British folk.

I always play with my headset off, or in a party. I would say 90% of the time, no one has anything constructive to say in that game. It really does have a horrible community of griefers, 12 year olds, and teabagging frat boys. I know there are some cool people out there playing, I just never talk to them because I'm busy avoiding the gutter trash.

It's just so much damned fun to play though. :(

Luckily pre-game immaturity doesn't always transfer to actual gameplay.

Sometimes it does but more often than not everyone gets along and fights together well enough which is why I try my best to keep my mic on.

The game is fairly solid proof that most people aren't worth knowing though.

I didn't need Halo 3 to teach me that but it has certainly reaffirmed it for me.

Last night I ran into a booster nearly every fucking game. I reported them all, but it doesn't seem like Bungie is dropping the banhammer on them enough, because they're everywhere. I almost never get into a game without someone on either or both sides dropping.

And one shitcock teamkilled so that he would get booted, which was nice of him.

I love playing this game online so much, but the jerkoffs are really making it hard to enjoy myself. I wish Bungie would come down a little harder on the trolls. Don't just ban their one month trial account, ban their fucking console from XBL or something.

Sorry I didn't play last night, was only jumping on to hit up a couple of demos than right back off, was exhausted last night for some reason. Did the message I sent you get sent, or did I turn off the system too fast?

I think Bungie's priority is on banning actual cheaters and those abusing their file share (apparently you can upload non-Halo files if you know how to do it, a lot of immature douches are throwing up porn in those.)

Bungie has banned people from playing Halo on live in the past. And like a Permanent ban I think.

They do hit boosters too, but only for like a month.

Yeah I've had people send me screenshots after a game where I stomped the shit out of them. I assumed they were something offensive and just deleted them on the spot.

They really do need better overall policing though. I've been having a hard time getting some of my friends to play, and they used to play all the time. It's because of the large d-bag ratio, and I can't really argue with them. I do push the benefits of playing in a party though. It's made the game so much more enjoyable for me.

My first game of the night started off with me (and the rest of our team) being asked by some guy if I was a nigger.

That just pretty much killed my entire motivation to play that round.

Who operates under that kind of decorum?

Halo 3 has further shown me that a fair portion of humanity is absolutely worthless.

Bungie and MS are lucky I'm finding the game so damn fun.

Personally if it was up to me I'd ban people for life for acting that way.

Sure I can Mute and Avoid the guy but I shouldn't have to hear that kind of shit in the first place.

It's sad because that's not the first time that's happened either.

Thats why I honestly only ever bother to play with at least some other person I know, and we always are in a party.

Either that or I mute the instant something stupid comes out.
