Hey is Hyper 64 Jamma only?

Reason i ask is i have got my hands on a few New Hyper 64's Rev 2 mobos with games, i am going to keep one for myself.

I want to hook it up to my Naomi Uni Cab, i know that it will power it ok, but my Naomi is a JVS as its all original sega parts.

Will it run it, or do i have to conver it to jamma?

thanks in advance

Thanks again mate for the info

seems best option is to power it via the cab, and buy the jamma converter :)

Here you can see some I/O converters as well : http://sega-naomi.com/hardware.htm

So it if's setup for JVS I would think you might need to do some rewiring or use a converter to run jamma stuff. Right?

The I/O converters are for running Naomi games in a jamma cab, not running Jamma games in a jvs cab. To do that you need a Jamma2JVS converter. I have a namco brand one. Setup for the hyper would be like this:

If your cab has a trisync monitor, you should be good to go. Unfortunately for me, the US uni's were 31k only. As such my picture is all jacked up, the converters do not upscale.

To remedy this, I'm going to need to tri sync the monitor or purchase an upscaler. I'm thinking of an upscaler, namely this model: http://www.arcademvs.com/rgbstovga.htm

This isn't perfect by any means. But it should be a decent solution.

well, is your monitor a tri sync? or 31k only?

there are 3 different Jamma>jvs from what I understand. a konami, namco, and one built by river service. I believe the namco one is prefered.
