Neo Geo CD - Tray keeps popping open...

'ello all,

Having a bit of a problem with a previously-working Neo Geo CD unit(model 1):

When powered on, the logo comes and then the system takes you to the dashboard, from there the "eject" button's light is constantly flashing, as if someone has a turbo-enabled controller and is holding down a button. The tray will pop open, you slip the game in, it closes and then after less than about 3 seconds it pops right back open. Refuses to even try to read the game.

Anyone ever run in to anything like this? If so, how did you fix it?

I'm guessing you have a front loader? Sounds like maybe the eject button is sticking.

Yeah, I'm sorry, it's the front loader. I only see the Power button on the front of the unit, but perhaps you're talking about the one inside? I'll open it up and take a look...thanks so much for the info! Will let you know how it goes.

Found it: The wire that grounds the CD-Rom had come loose(somehow, I don't know how it could have happened as it's *screwed* in). I screwed it back in and all is well. Thanks for the advice!

Sorry for the disturb , i have the same problem , but there's an eject switch inside?
