I've only ever seen this cart sell a couple times. Never heard anyone mention playing it. Never heard anyone mention loving or hating it. What do you all think of it?

Oh, and if someone has it and hates it, trade me your copy.

I'd still rock it in the two-slot alongside Pulstar or Blazing Star, or even Shock Troopers 2, just to have a couple games with prerendered sprites in there at once. I wouldn't ever claim it's a great game, or even much beyond mediocre, but I can't believe that NO ONE plays it...

Horrible game. And it's EXPENSIVE!! Like $250 in most cases.

I haven't played it for m ore than about two fights, and I didn't find it especially enjoyable, but it seemed like it had potential.

Also, I like looking at prerendered sprites on occasion. It'd be nice to have a prerendered fighter in the cab to go along with Blazing Star or something just breifly. Prerendered fighters, for me, tend to be like porn with a hooker who has herpes taking the double-stuff. It's not something I generally like to participate in, myself, but to look at every once in a while is strangely arousing, er :spock:

You mean AES prices, right? Last MVS copy that sold on here that I've seen went for about $15, iirc. There are two overpriced copies on eBay right now in eBay stores, but I've not seen the MVS version go for any high price at all.

I don't think it plays too badly, tho it is simplistic, the graphics are interesting.

If Guilty Gear had gone with the original prerendered look that it had in the old Dengeki Playstation and Famitsu previews, I don't think it would have ever caught on. The novelty of such things lay pretty much solely with Rare's forays into the aesthetic.

That said, Ragnagard is a pretty bland fighter with a mildly interesting roster. Certainly not one worth sinking time or money into. Ninja Masters is a far better under-the-radar fighting game.

When you are collecting and get this game... play it for a couple of minutes, curse for a couple of days because of the hard earned money used to pay for it. Put it in the bottom of the pile and go... NEXT!
