Greetings everyone! I've been lurking around your forums for about 4 months now and I thought it was time to officially introduce myself. I have been gaming since I could hold an atari 2600 joystick and like most of you I longed for a neo-geo when I was a kid but could never afford one. I have been collecting home consoles and games casually for about 15 years and recently decided to sell off my collection and put all my money and efforts into neo-geo collecting.

A friend of mine showed me your forums awhile back and after researching everything I ever wanted to know about neo-geo through previous conversations of yours and reading intensivley for the last few months, I now know that this is the place for retro gaming deviant nerds like myself. I like the variety of technical info, witty banter and noob flameing that this forum has to offer. I hope I can add something to this tight knit community one day when I'm an expert but until then, I will continue to insert my one liners where I see fit.

Here are some pics off my gameroom build in progress. It's just now starting to shape up into a suitable place for late night chemically induced neo gaming. I am not a rich man but i think it's shaping up well. Please tell me what you think or feel free to make suggestions. I look forward to being flamed and having some ridiculous title in the future. Thank you for your time!

Welcome to the forums. Out of curiosity, how much did you spend on the home version of Metal Slug?

Leave it to you guys to discover the one boot in the bunch. It's a conversion, paid about $200, looking to sell it now (it's up on ebay). I had a change of heart about conversions after reading everyones posts on them. No boots!

Just wanted to make sure you didn't get the shaft from someone off teh bay. Overall it's a cool setup. Are you considering a cab soon?

Or was it bought off from some body else ? I'm just asking given...mass-systems or any supergun i've seen by a company don't look like that.

Hello tron! Thanks for the compliment. The supergun was built by NeoGeeO, it's his first. I must say that it has worked flawlessly since i aquired it from him. It was a learning experience for sure and I believe his giant nerd brain is working on a blueprint for version 2.0

Since I first posted these pics my gameroom has changed radicaly. The biggest change has been the addition of a Neo 29 candy cab, which has just had the monitor repaired by P&L monitor. The cab is still under construction though and in a few weeks when it's ready, I will post new pics. Also many new carts and pcb's have been added, namely a neo-geo hyper 64 and a CPS1 of street fighter hyper.

I also want to thank everyone on this forum for helping to make my gameroom possible. Your knowledge and willingness to help is immensely appreciated, and thanks to you this hobby might be the best thing currently going on in my life.

I'm doing a deal on eBay (done before realizing we're both forum members). He seems like good guy.

Looking forward to your posts!

Fantastic gameroom Norm! Great video, but it doesn't really do your gameroom justice, it's something that definitely has to be seen in person. Having actually been there now, I can fully appreciate it and the awesomeness of the Pork Pie Drum Throne. :buttrock: Nothing softens an ass-kicking at SSFII Turbo like a Pork Pie Drum Throne. :D
