Per popular opinion, I have made a new MGO thread dedicated to cataloguing everyone's usernames. We can also discuss the clan, once it gets up and running, and share amusing anecdotes and battle strategies. It's clear that Konami plans to support this game with content packs and balance it with patches, unlike the old MGO. Therefore, it looks like this game should garner a dedicated following for the forseeable future.

On with the in-game handles:

Mercenary 20XX - Ghost Dog
rcpaskus - kid aphex
Pei Yu - Snair
lachlan18gmid - lachlan
codename_48 - Codename_48
vectorman - vectorman0
eric cantona - wasabi
AncientFlounder - KumagaiToshiro
li(m/n) - NeoGML
Bowen - Korigama
Blue Mary X - Darklighterx
Modred - Snuh
bokujin - yagamikun

Post your in-game handle(s) and they will be added to the list.

Clan Info:

The clan is not yet formed. Mostly because I am still working on single player, and I'm slow as fuck. Also, you need to have 20 hours of gameplay and must have reached level 3 before being able to create a clan. I will be working on that this week and over the weekend. If everything works out, I should have the clan up and running by late next week.

When you play multiplayer, my favorite thing to do is t-bagging the other player.

knock out your opponent and then walk over to them so that you're facing the top of their head, standing on their head, and tap x repeatedly. Every time I do this to someone I crack up.

Also, a tip - if you want to do knife only in TDM, do not go out on your own. Stick with your team.

I'm working on my second playthrough and playing MGO at the same time. Both are so enjoyable, I can't ignore either one. I'm trying to devote 30 minutes to an hour to MGO most weeknights. I'm really enjoying it thus far. I'm basically only using my rifle at this point, unless I run out of ammo or need to flush someone out with a grenade. I need to learn to use CQC, as I remember getting my ass handed to me in Subsistence MGO when others used it on me.

I'll start adding people listed here tonight. I'm usually on sometime between 9-12 PM EST.

Also, do you guys use headsets or have keyboards? I misplaced my PS2 headset, so I can't really communicate at the moment. (Un)forunately, most other people don't seem to bother with it anyway.

CQC is easy to upgrade because you will find there are rooms for CQC only, with no kills. Ihave CQC up to level 2, but not sure if I want to go to level 3. I feel that assault rifles may be the best one to upgrade so that I have faster reloads.

Oh, and scanner doesn't seem to do shit. I have poked so many necks in the past few nights, and never once saw enemy locations.

I have to read the manual so I can figure out this upgrade system, I have basically no idea on how it works. I don't remember it from Subsistence, though it has been a while.

upgrading CQC means that you can knock out the enemy faster - their air level drops faster. Upgrading running makes you run a little faster (not much, I can say from expeerience as I am a level 2 runner). Blades+ makes your knife attacks more lethal. So far that's one of the best ones. Being able to run right by an opponent and take them out with one slice is clutch.

I was messing around with the training room briefly last night. It seems like SMG's are kind of a waste, even at closer range. I tried playing with assault rifles, and the damage is just so much better. Granted, a head shot will be a one hit kill either way, but you don't always have time to line one of those up.

So I may ditch SMG Specialist, I dunno.

Right now my lineup is:

Assault Rifles
Runner
CQC+
And whatever the one is that lets you spot traps..

You can do a Player Search and add them that way. Kind of a clunky way to do it, but it is the only other way, outside of playing with them. I also believe they need to be online when you do the search, too, since most everyone on here doesn't show up when I search them.

When you play multiplayer, my favorite thing to do is t-bagging the other player.

I've been kicked over doing that, since some players seem to be a bit anal about it. Kind of a dumb reason to be kicked from the game, I think. I'll end up doing it sometimes, usually to a friend of mine since he usually snipes the hell out of my character.

I got to lvl 3 blades+, but honestly it's not all that. My CQC is lvl 2 but I can't play at lvl 2 cqc and lvl 3 3 blades+... So getting someone in a lock is proving to be difficult. I always end up tossing the bitch to the ground.

i have L3 assault rifle, L1 runner...

L2 runner doesn't seem to do too much... only when you're running with just a knife.

couldn't find you.

only guy I found so far is Ghost Dog, but no one to play against from here. Probably ok since my level is high right now. I could probably train you guys with blades and cqc.

from what i played, this game is great.
but i hate the whole levelling up aspect.
i know it adds replay value, but i've always hated stepping into a game where there are statistically advantaged players.
plus the ps3s online system is so unfriendly!
i still wade through it just to play this great game though...
still not very good at all.

You can't add players to friends unless they are either online, or you have played a game with them already. What we need to do is have a meetup this weekend. I can host games fairly well (20Mbit connection), but my headset for the PS3 is on order so I have to use a keyboard till that shows up.

also, the bee badge is for using a lot of scanners. I got that, the rat, and the sloth so far.
