Does anybody use an ultrasonic cleaner? How have your experiences with them been?
I basically want to be able to strip down my rifles and put the bolt assemblies in the cleaner (AR15 and AK47). Does this work well for people? I assume the little pins and such will fall down through the basket? No problems with that (don't know if the bottom of these gets gross with dirt settling there or what)? Do I just then take all the parts out and towel off everything? Do the parts need to be completely dry before reassembling and lubing? Can I put things like my entire AR trigger assembly in their whole, or would I likewise have to take everything apart to get it clean? (I shoot suppressed a lot so even my trigger group gets filthy dirty). I'm only finding smaller cleaners maybe 2-2.5 liters - are these big enough to fit a pretty long AK47 bolt assembly into? No problem with full size handgun slides? Any specific cleaner models to look into (within a couple hundred bucks)?
The other reason why I want one is I've been dreading cleaning my suppressor baffles. My two take-apart suppressors are an Octane 45 HD (think stainless baffles & aluminum tube), and AAC Element 2 which is all titanium. I've read this can ruin the finish on some suppressors and/or baffles if they rub against each other during cleaning? (or am I thinking of tumbling the baffles in walnut/corn media which? -- that I can also do if it's a better way to clean the baffles as I have a case tumbler already).
I've been wanting one for a while. Would like to have a big one but they get expensive fast.
Harbor freight sells one for $70-80 that will be fine for most handguns & other parts.
My basic understanding is you mix something with water to clean stuff.
Heat and vibration is what does the work.
Apparently they work rather well when you find the right cleaner.
You need to pay close attention tho, seems like a lot of the cleaners will strip a finish or ruin aluminum quickly.
In a related note, Youtube has updated their policy recently and are taking retro-active action against previously uploaded videos, even ones going back years.

If you watch any gun related channels on Youtube, you may soon find them to be going away. Especially since many of the big channels do offer affiliate links to purchase some things. So if you watch or like watching content from Demolition Ranch, Tofladermouse (sic), Hicock45 or FPS Russia (to name a few off the top of my head) those days may be over. Some accounts have already noticed old videos being deleted.
Www.full30.com most of the bigger channels are already there & the sight is getting ready to open up to all content creators.
They eventually hope to have an entire family of delivery systems. (Website, mobile app, apple TV, Roku, etc)
It sucks but it's starting to look like we may have to bounce around to get all the content we want.
