Is that Karou-speak for "you're a miserable fuck"? I'm great, thanks. Just not big on lazy comedy.

Nope. The "happiness in your household" was one of the only funny parts of ST2. I'd have thought you'd at least remember that part. Rest of the movie is unfortunately quite forgettable.

Oh right. The "feather duster grey poupon peanut buster parfait" scene. Yeah, that was one of the funny scenes. Clearly very forgettable.

I saw Casino for the first time. It's sad and hilarious at the same time. Great editing (which is usually something you don't notice unless it's done wrong). I loved the scene where the two main characters are talking in code and the editors put in subtitles to decode what they're say. Like one of them says, "See you at 6PM at my place," and the subtitle is "See you at 9PM behind the convenience store" or something like that. :lolz:

I prefer it to Goodfellas. Sharon Stone is an amazing actress.

Just watched Diabolique by Henri-Georges Clouzot. It's awesome - a must-watch for fans of Hitchcock style horror / thrillers.

Oh hell yeah, that movie is a masterpiece. He actually beat out Hitchcock for the screenplay rights.

Inherent Vice- My second time watching it and I enjoyed it more going in with The Big Lebowski in mind more so than Boogie Nights which I did in my previous viewing.

Oh yeah also watched The Guest thanks to RLM, it did not disappoint.

Watched The Ritual on netflix. This horror had a good sense of atmosphere. A group of 4 English dudes go for a hike through the mountains of Sweden to commemorate a friend brutally murdered by junkies. The forest is under the control of an ancient demigod of lovecraftian design. If you liked The VVitch, then this will feel decent.

Yeah.... I liked The Ritual...

The monster at the end is pretty cool...

Just watched Anon with Clive Owen... tbh... another pretentious film about the Big Brother Society.... and what firms have stored away about you...

Not even a good thriller...

The Commuter (2018)

Ridiculous scenario. But if you don't think too hard about why Neeson gets brought in or how the baddies operate or what the point is, you may be able to enjoy yourself.

The Guest is a wonderfully stupid movie.

Donnie Brasco (1997) -- Refreshing to see Pacino in a heartwarming non-cinical part fo a change, Depp brings Brasco's tension on point and Madsen, Hollywood's frightening toughie in charge, heats it up. Is it brilliant? Well, fuggetaboutit.

I can easily see, why. Here, no actor has to hide behind excessive make up (Black Mass) nor method acting nonsense like stylized preponderance (Raging Bull) or artificial bulimia (Hunger). One pair of nerdy glasses for Pacino, some pomade to give Depp that shiny and slick appearance, rest is pure acting. Timeless thinking here for every non-filtered colorful frame.

Why can't you just say "I didn't like that actor/movie", instead of something like this?

Probably because I don't feel the language, yet. It doesn't sound as annoying, when I first write it down, then, each time it's pointed out, I read it again and am annoyed, too. To express things simple, using only the necessary words is very difficult. Though it's probably tedious for you, comments like yours help a lot, so thanks.

I understand you have less flattering answers for the way I post. And even if I could, let's say hypothetically, change the way I post, those answers would still remain the same.

For a non-native speaker, you seem to have a sufficient grasp on the English language. Awesome!

No ones saying to "change the way you post".

Just stop trying to sound like you think you're the smartest person in the room.
