Yep, I have a 2-slot I want to consolize. I had thought about trying to get an arcade power supply or even just a 5V open frame power supply between the top of the PCB and the metal shield, but it seems like an external adapter is still the best option for a 2-slot.

You'd be better off trying to find one of those desktop power supplies we all used to use for coonsolized units. They had a 5 pin din plug and provided +5V, +12V and 2 Grounds, only problem is, they are bloody hard to find now days.

Gold RCA panel mount jacks...solder type. 75 cents a piece, no minimum order.

A little over half way down the page.

I bought one of each color except black...2 of the red. Came to $8 even including shipping from California to Ohio.

Take a look at this and tell me what you think? Tabletop PSU with 3 outputs...+5v, +12v, and -5V. (on the first model) Plus uses a DIN 5 pin plug. Would this be able to be used for Superguns, or would the amps be too low? PDF format!!

jvs cab that has rca inputs. the jamma to jvs adapter doesn't play nice with the stereo on the jamma edge. i've made an adapter for all my other boards except the hyper. with a part number i should be able to get a sample from jst.

Taking a look at that Dale Pro Audio site, and they have some decently priced ($1.37), high quality looking phonos there, free shipping, no minimum order too! Also, as far as I know, Neutrik makes some good stuff. Figured I would contribute what I could, check it out! (Doh! Blue is out of stock.)

Monoprice offers the "keystone" variety of RCA jacks. They're really just gold plated couplers
    http://www.monoprice.com/products/se...ca%20connector

adding 1 each of those comes to a total of $5.66 shipped

    here's the S-video variety

Any ideas on where to get the key slot for the jamma edge connectors? I bought some from yaton and it didn't have one.

Getting to the final stages of putting my supergun together, and I'm starting to think about what to do for a controller. I've got a modded DC Agetek stick that I'd like to just wire with a NeoGeo pinout and turn into a multi-console stick, but I'm having a bit of an issue with the proper cables. I got some proper DB15 connectors and hoods with my last Mouser order, but I don't know where to find a decent 15-wire cable. I've tried tearing apart both an old VGA cable and an old gameport-style PC gamepad, thinking since both of their connectors were 15-pin that there'd be 15 wires inside the cables, but there were only 8 or 9. I've got an old 25-pin printer cable that I can sacrifice, but that seems like a pretty ghetto solution to me. Has anyone found a decent and cheap place to get either a ~6-foot 15-wire cable, or one already wired to a DB15 female connector?

Thanks! I was hoping for something a bit cheaper, like just some generic DB15 PC cables or something, but I'm far enough into the project that I don't really want to be too picky. Besides, I can't argue with free shipping, and this is a good way to support Jamma Nation X (their supergun wiring diagram has been invaluable).

If you already have neo extensions it would be best to just add a male DB15 connector to the back of the DC controller and mod it that way. You can then retain the DC cord and plug into the DB15 for supergun use.

Thanks for the advice. I now have a nice Sanwa modded Agetec stick that works on the Dreamcast as it always did, and has a DB15 port for plugging into the supergun or adapters for other consoles (coming soon) via the excellent Neo extension cable I got from JNX.

A few more parts questions: I'm thinking of modding my US Tekken V Hori stick with Sanwa or Seimitsu parts, and wondered where a good place is to find those .110 quick disconnects. I just soldered the wires to the terminals on my Agetec stick, which is all well and good until I need to change something. And what's the optimal wire gauge to use for those?

Also, where would I find short plastic risers and accompanying screws? I want to place a sheet or two of acrylic over the exposed parts on my MV1F for looks and to keep the cat from rubbing his face on it, make a semi-enclosed case. I've seen some CMVS' with a similar design in someone's sig here once; I can't find any pictures right now but that was the definite inspiration.
