i've noticed in the mark of the wolves for dreamcast post a lot of you say that running mark of the wolves on a europen dreamcast makes it run in 50hz with a letterbox disply. well , if you go and buy a DC-X boot disc (about £7) this disc forces a 60HZ signal meaning you can play MOTW just like our american and jap cousins. i play a US MOTW on my UK DC. also, the same disc allows you to run games that don't have a 60HZ option(i.e. sega rally 2, dynamite cop , evil twin) the ability to do so.

Which stores still have DC-X discs left? I've been looking for a couple for people for a while now..

All local stores have run out.

There's a store local to me that still has a few DC-X boot discs. Last time I was in there they were trying to bundle them with 3 US import titles for £30 or something.

I'll check 2moro.

BTW - you can't beat the AES MOTW. ;)

well AES mark of the wolves may be the best but a 17 year olds salary will just have to stick with the DC version!!! :)

Well, I tried MotW in my PAL DC using Action Replay CDX, that allows you to choose between PAL and NTSC. If I choose NTSC the screen is displaced to the bottom so the game is unplayable. If I choose PAL then it runs in 50 Hz with incredible bars in top, bottom and sides of the screen.

So with this DC-X you get 60 Hz at full screen? Wow <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" /> <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" />

Well, my TV is prefectly capable of displaying 60 Hz NTSC games. It's just that NTSC DC games doesn't have 50/60 Hz selector like most PAL games, so they run at either 50 or 60 depending on the game and you can't change it. MotW runs at 50 so I want some way to force it go at 60 Hz. I guess that DC-X is worth a try.
