Secret Samurai Shodown 2 Move w/ Haohmaru??!?!?

I was playing SS2 the other day, and while fighting against Caffiene Nicotine, on the last slash of the fight, I was kinda pressing all the buttons and whatnot, and all of a sudden, there was a puff of smoke like Hanzo or Galford when they dissappear, and then I turned into a little Haohmaru! then another puff back to normal size, then the cyclone slash. I've been playing SS2 since it came out in the arcades, and I've never seen this move either by the computer or anyone else. Has anybody else ever seen this?

Yep, I've done that quite a few times by accident when trying to bust a desperation move, and they are called "super deformed transformations".

Its not exclusive to one character, also. Every character in SamSho2 has that super move. It can be pulled off at any time during any match, provided your rage meter is full and flashing.

You know what "super deformed" looks like, right?

Those cutesy characters with the gigantic heads and tiny little bodies underneath, quite common in japanese cartooning.

I think it is only a joke move, put in as a gag by the game developers.

Thanks C. At first I thought it was some kind of glitch or whatever. It was kinda funny though, even though it was only a split second. What other character's have you done it with?

So far, I've done the trick(always accidentally) with Genjuro, Hanzo, Gen-An, and Haohmaru.

It was pretty hilarious when I was trying to kill that cheap bastard Earthquake with my rage maxed out- only to see my Hanzo poof into a little stuffed anime doll. eek!

I was then completely squashed by that humongous blade on a chain of his. The AI really shows no mercy in this game!

That's why I just stick to the basics, kicking and poking combos with a little special move thrown in the mix. No desperations...

Haha funny, I run into the same surprise the other day. I know how to pull it off with Genjuro:

HCB, right, left + B

As far as I know it's just a funny gimmick to humiliate your opponent or something

Ukyo's is HCB, HCF, RUC + B... things I remembered from 10 years ago...

Hanzo's is f,b,f,b,f,b,d+A
