Why is everybody mad for GAROU?

Well the game has cool graphics and special
effects...BUT!!!!
The characters are too small and there aren`t
any cool combos...Well I can say that RBFFS
and RBFF2 are much better,not graphically
but good at playability!
Well GAROU isn`t that good?!

yeah, honestly i was wondering what the draw to it was as well. i got the MVS version and i just wasn't that impressed -- due to the hype around it.

the effects and character animations are superb and defintely are worthy of the accolades, but the game as a whole left me desiring more. RBFFS was a lot more fun for me to play

i think that people just get caught up in the hype and the exclusivity of the title, that they have to see it for themselves. it's definitely one of the top tier games for the system, but it's not all that.

Game have new characters new top system, guard attack and highly damageable combos including infinites and 100% thats why peoples are mad for garou.

That's exactly what I was going to say. The story factor is cool too. It takes place 10 years later. Who wouldn't want to play as Geese's son, Kim's two sons, or Terry ten years older. Garou rocks!

Mark of Wolves is one of my favorites. The animation is the BEST of any Fatal Fury.
Just a fun game!

Garou doesn't have cool combos? You're just used to the easy chain combos in the Real Bouts... you have to WORK for your combos in Garou, but there's some good stuff in there. Cancelling a normal move into a special move fake and then linking in another normal attack takes way more skill than a chain. Plus "Breaking" special moves leads into some tight juggles too.

MOTW continues that formula started by SF2. It is a pure, straightforward, fighting game.

Mark Of The Wolves rocks, cool graphics, cool characters (Rock, Kain, Freeman, Terry...etc) and I agree with Neo Freak, I really wanna play as Geese's son... Anyway, I think it's the best FF game ever

it with my 2 fav guys HOKUTOMARU and FREEMAN
Well HOKUTOMARU is unfair but I don`t care!
The easy Hanzo Jig here is the day event and
that Freeman guy who has really nasty for VS
battles S/P.POWER...The one which he walks
forward and if you hit him-------------------
Sorry never again!
So don`t talk to me like that again,got it!
I know games better than you do!!!

I think folks are so hard for MoTW's because of the characters and storyline. Rock Howard is a smooth character along the same lines as Kyo and Iori in KOF... and everyone knows there are diehard fans that follow the series almost exclusively to play those two characters. I think Rock has the same drawing appeal for MoTW players. That and Andy looks better than he has in years. heh... No longer so much the Ken wannabe.

SNK's fighting games begin with Fatal Fury and end with Fatal Fury. And Garou is SNK's highest quality fighter available. Worth EVERY dollar I spent on it! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I really enjoyed seeing new characters (not all new) but they were nice variations on the common character scheme. Also, there weren't vast differences in characters. Some were a little bigger and stronger or a little faster but all of the characters are quick...no Raiden-style brickwall characters. I liked that.

TOP is cool too.

There's one more thing about Garou that's way better than the Real Bout series.

FOUR ATTACK BUTTONS!

yes, an extra attack makes that much difference. It's too easy to get too reliant on the C button in the Real Bouts outside of chains, gets boring.

Don't think so. IMO Garou is a cool mixture of good elements of both the RB and KoF series. It's very well playable and features awesome gfx.

On the other hand I think that the hype around this game is a little overdone as it is a very good but surely not *the best* release available.

Not all!Infact they remove a game when they
got a new one!I can`t belive it they removed
SS2 to bring Ehrgeiz!Oh man.................

The formula was started by KARATECHAMP *NOT* SF2.
