South Jersey Classic was a blast this month, thanks to vectorman0 bringing his J360 arsenal. Otomedius G was the highlight for me. Love the color values, music, and vibe of the new wave sexy parodius. Feels like a DreamCast game- and i mean that in a good way.

I've been playing a lot of TurboGrafx lately. I was playing Galaga '90 non-stop, but have moved on to R-Type.

Ketsui all the way!!!

It feels more traditional than a lot of the other Cave shooters.
I'm gonna concentrate on this for a while til i can get a decent run through it.

Ikaruga is constantly being played even though it hurts my brain too much he he!!!

I've been playing Ketsui and Otomedius G on the Xbox the past several days. Ketsui is kicking my ass, and Otomedius kicks my ass once I die in the later stages.

Gate of Thunder and Lords of Thunder on the Duo-R, oh yeah I do miss playing these.

Also played Ketsui and Radiant Silvergun at the Shmupmeet. Makes me long for the Saturn mode of the latter.

Oh yeah, I saw that and I've been dyiong to get one for my Saturn to get some STV action going among other things of course. Thanks for the reminder padre. I was kind of excited for a sec there thinking you had a PCB running in there though, but truth be told this is even better!

I'm dying to try Otomedius, how are you liking it? You should come by sometime soon, hopefully on the next meetup.

If I did I'd be the only one in the world. Would have been so sick to see an arcade release, or even a propper tate mode on the saturn disc.

the board viletim is making works great btw, tried it with saturn and ps 1 2 3. the ps3 may be slightly darker but its hardly noticable. other than that its been pretty much perfect.

for games like this its pretty much the best option there is. it also makes me miss my espg and doj boards a whole lot less. when i get a 360 scart i'll get back to slo mo futari bl.

I like it. It's not spectacular, but I think it's a solid Gradius spinoff. It helps that I'm a Gradius fan. The 3D art style and backgrounds take a little getting used to, but once you get past that it's not a problem.

Yeah man, I will definitely try to make the next Mass meet. If I can, I'll make sure to bring Otomedius along.

That's why I was flipping, I thought it was a console only release. This device looks great, there's so much scrat stuff I wanna try!

Is this a high score of all times? Nope, but it's my highest score thus far, came is really starting to come to me...

Progear - In 2 days I've gone from barely getting in 2 millions to 4 million to approaching 6 million. Fuck yea!

You're a brave man, I used to play shmups that way back on MAME with analog pads and I used to try doing it on the cabs too like the guy on the Ikaruga video, extremely disorienting but eventually you find a comfortable zone and go from there. Still difficult though, it takes a lot of mind to manage that. I did it mostly with Striker 1945 II, Raiden and Viper Phase 1 both ways analog pad and arcade.

1CC'd Soldier Blade today. Pretty easy but a clear nonetheless. Awesome music too.

FINALLY got a chance to play Galuda (Its been sitting since I got it in Feb)

Some shitty ass scores - I need to adjust to the scoring on this, way different than Galuda 2's.

I think I almost 1CC'd it.

I died after I wiped all those "squeaking" children out and the bass battle started.

I got the multiplier to work a little, just need to practice my scoring.

Music KILLS Galuda 2's.

Great game!

The Game Paradise on the Saturn.

Is it supposed to be this hard?
