What's everone's Gripe with Fatal Fury:Wild Ambition???

i finally managed to get the PSX version of this game today and i am very impressed. why it has such a bad rep is beyond me. although it's 3d, it has the Real Bout feel to it. The graphics are solid and are far better than people make them out to be, and the moves and game mechanix are easy to pull off and user friendly. and some of the moves just look so damn brutal;!! yamazaki's max guillotine just looks so nasty! he slams your head of the floor right in fron of the screen and your chracters eys close and grip their tetth that's amazing detail for a PSX game!!!. not to mention how good the HEAT system is. Couple that with snazzy presentation and 2 GREAT intro's (you finally get to see what Jeff Boaged looks like)and you have a great game. i mean it's not thebest of the FF series but i dont think it deserves such a bad rep. what's your take on the game, and why do you or don't you like it???

i forgot to mention how cool Kim's Pheonix Flatterner looks as well. god-damn!!!

Perhaps because it's a huge step down from the hyper version - at least that's my reason. I like FF Wild Ambition on the hyper neo geo a lot better.

As for other people, I guess they expect a tekken style 3D fighter.

i've never played the hyper version, but most ppl semm to be down on the game on whatever format. i'd love to play the hyper version but there's about 3 hyper machines in the whole of the UK, oh dear.

After playing the hyper version, the psx version resembles a one-legged man in an asskicking contest.

FF:WA is the best 3D fighter in terms of gameplay

If they had made more 3D fighters .............. they would reach the same 2D fighters depth

Imagine [FF:WA on DC or PS2+ improved graphics+ more characters and backgrounds+ better gameplay and combos] this will be the end of all others 3D fighters
