Wow. I tried omega boost and it worked flawless. Very impressive (nice this proves that ps1 dl are emulated and not recompiled like most felt it would be).

:tickled:

Sadly I hope this does not kill the Ps1 dl service. I bought 1 ps1 game so far and I think it's an awsome service (manuals are actualy original psx manuals and not crapy remade ones like on the Wii VC).

I'll have to look into this when I get a new memory stick. I asked for one and I got an SD card for a digital camera. Buy.com has that 4Gig one for 88 on special. I might look into getting it from there or wait till the price drops again.

Well, unfortunately, I've been out of town for all this shit (still am) but I did read something about simply renaming stuff for the convertor..........SO............

wtf do you mean that the ISO didnt work but BIN/CUE did? I thought you could only convert an iso and if your shit is bin/cue you rename your bin to iso and if your shit is img = rename to iso, etc.

what in da hayell?

well, all i know is i tried using it as image.iso-
it didn't work. tried another game, still a no-go.
so i put einhander back in, made a bin/cue image
(cause i already deleted the iso)
renamed them both to image.bin and image.cue
and that shit worked. beats me, but i won't be
wasting my time trying to use iso's anymore.

also, i don't think renaming a bin to iso extension
would work, you'd have to use winISO, etc..

ISO should work just fine. It was the default mode that people favored. This is taken directly from the readme included which talks about using images that aren't iso format (since the actual readme talks about the image as ISO when explaining the process).

Q: I have my game in bin/cue...
A: use the bin as the iso.

Q: I have my game in img/ccd...
A: Use the img as the iso.

I've done this with img and bin files, it works just fine. I haven't done it with a straight ISO file, but it seems that is the file type the author worked with initially, so maybe there is something funky about the ISO you have.

We should start compiling a list of working/non-working games for future references.

Here are a few of my discoveries:

SotN - working.
Night Raid - working w/graphical glitch.
Kaitei Daisensou - not working (crashes after hitting start).
Dodonpachi - not working (crashes after selection screen).

Post yours!

You put one game disc at a time on there. I don't think I've played a multi-disc game that didn't prompt me to save before telling me to switch disc.

Sony really shot themselves in the foot.

The longer this goes the more people start using the psp for its illegal properties. I give it a yr before sony drops the hardware all together in the face of piracy as everything from the firmware to ps1 games have been ripped completely to shit.

Its only a matter of time and lack of profit before nintendo claims its never handheld victim whatever case may be the case.

psp is the next dreamcast.

And if things keep going the way they are the ps3 is going to put sony out of the hardware business.

Sweet, Samurai Shodown Warriors Rage 2 (jpn import) works full speed. I have a few other obscure ISOs like Internal Section, Panzer Bandit etc..

I'll post here later if they work or not.

I just wanted to know this, I got two memory stick for Christmas, but it's a 2Gig stick. How far will that get me if I wanna run a PSX game? I'll end up keeping the stick for smaller ROMS and just get a 4Gig stick for cheep so I can run bigger stuff.

The 2 gigs fine for psone games. I'm just deleting one game off the stick, and then copying a new game on when I want to play it. The largest ISO I have made so far is around 750 MB.

Oh yeah, and Panzer Bandit works. :)
