The only other downgraders I found required GTA, which I don't have.

I'm sure the upgrade from A to B will be just as simple as past upgrades.

You didn't look hard enough, there's a very simple downgrader from 2.71, and it doesn't require GTA.

And yes, upgrading from A to B should just need some seconds.

Rev. B with the emu is already out, I'm in the middle of Chistmas lunch so I won't be able to try it until a few hours.

So you need Hot Shots Golf 2 to do this then, right? Anybody wanna whisper where I might find it? All the usual places that I get teh romz from don't seem to have PS1 roms...

I used mininova to get the Hot Shots Golf 2 game, ready for the PSP (you can't use the regular PSX iso). Then just follow the instructions to convert your desired PSX iso to the PSP format.

I found a torrent... It said that it has 200 some odd seeds, when in fact, it had like 7... :crying:

you never connect w/ everybody.
plus public trackers are where all
the H+R's tend to lurk (no ratio)

You can use any PSOne PSP game technically, but it hasn't been tested with anything other than Hot Shots 2. I recall reading that you could use plugins, which I'm going to see about doing once I find the information to help me out. The blur on the zoom screen is a bit more than I'd like, so it would be nice to find something to smooth things out a bit. I've tested Symphony of the Night and Final Fantasy Tactics, both work great. I hear FFVII works just as well, though I haven't tried it out. I'm going to have to make some Icons so that it doesn't show up as Hot Shots 2 on my load and save menus.

I do get a little sad still when I play them though. As fun as it is, it's kind of despressing that I paid 250 bucks back in the day and I only have four games. Everything else is rom or PSOne.

Here's how to convert PSX to PSP's EBOOT.pbp
------------------------------------------------------------

Sample game: JETMOTO2

Files required (Put all in one directory):
- PSX JETMOTO2, already in image format with extension ISO or BIN
- popstation.exe
- cygwin1.dll (google this)
- Original PSX-PSP HOT SHOTS 2 USA (rename EBOOT.PBP to BASE.PBP) with keys.bin
- BAT file

Note:
Try convert NTSC games only & MUST BE Hot Shots 2.

Rename JETMOTO2.bin/.iso to "image.iso"

Make any text file, put this text inside popstation image.iso then save
Rename sonypwned.txt to sonypwned.bat, double click this bastard

now it will generate new EBOOT.PBP
After finished, copy this file & Keys.bin into any name folder under /PSP/GAME/

i've been hearing about issues w/
pal games having graphic problems,
etc. makes me wonder about jp
games. more shmups, please. :drool_2:

dodonpachi on the psp would own.
i'm decided- my first attempt will be...

I thought of Einhander when I was showering today and thought that would be a good one. Wish I still had it. Torrents take way too long.

private trackers are the way to go.

i'm almost done making the iso file.

What is the BAT file? I see a DAT file... Is that a typo, or am I missing something?

Grrr Real Bout DM doesnt work. When abt to start fight it froze then crash my PSP. :mad:

Worst with this shooter game "X", gone blank white screen. Dammit!

Well, if u dunno how to use COMMAND MSDOS, then this is the way to go.

Actually I found a better command:

@echo off
echo Popstation.exe PSX Converter
echo www.neo-geo.com


echo Please drag the original iso file to this window and press enter
set /p isooriginal=

echo.
echo Conversion process started.
echo.
echo Please wait...
echo.

popstation.exe %isooriginal%

pause

Same story, copy this into text file. rename .txt to .bat.
Open it, then drag N drop your PSX image.

This is insanity. The forum at PSPUpdates is blowing up!

This is a little more technical than any other homebrew I (And probably many, many other PSP users) have ever dealt with before. I'm completely lost. There are 20 different "How to convert your games" lists and each one contradicts the next one. Any help would be much appreciated.

Use ONLY UltraISO.

And I noticed from some forums & my own attempt, 2D games seems doesnt work with the emu.

Converting your games is quite easy, in fact, you can just follow the information in the OE-B Readme file. That's all I did and it worked like a charm.

The only thing that isn't clear is that it says you can use plugins. I haven't figured out all the details for that at the moment, but I'd sure like to use some to improve some filtering and stuff, hopefully without a noticable performance hit.
