charlie,

you are a brave,patient man
You see, Fran never learned how to play these complex fighters, he never ever asked anyone for information.

He was just "born" and a neo fighting controller (silver of course) was dangling from his bitter mouth..

:)

ukyo was my main man in SS2

i don't like his stance in 3,
so i thought "fuck you, you're about to die anyway"

and i moved on to Genjuro (blue outfit)

or Haohmaru (red outfit)

if i feel particularly good,
evil nakoruru + wolf

i recently bought a game and seller was from hokkaido,so i was like

what have you done to the ainu etc etc etc

Heh, it was tied between Ukyo/Wan-fu with ss2, I agree on ukyo's stance, its pretty o_O, but he's still cool, I love it how he coughs after he misses his bust DM.

I use red haoh too, grey it far too dull :) the kern is also partial to riding on the furry wolf, although his limited skill usually means he gets punished for it.

I dont like SS4, the fourteen hit editing ruins that game on its own. Go to cyberfans old site for some easy infinites.
Also I found this infinite while using Gen against zan, just do a rush in b and repeat.

SS3 had turnaround infinites, but all you had to do is duck to get around that crap. I also liked Sogetsu in SS4. When I used to play I would sit undefeated with Ukyo for a long ass time at the mini cade here.

SS3 is better because of the st, the bg's, the fact you can't start cheesey combo's with cd..
I would stress to say I like ss3 over the whole series thus far, I honestly mean that. Take a look at the winning portraits, fucking mega cool.

There just seems to be a general negative vibe floating around the game. Could be cause it is so dark.

Man, nothing beats fighting on Ukyos River boat of doom.

and oh,btw

my fave SS game is part 4
My fav KoF is 2001. It's tops.

98 is ok though. I just hate what they did with Benimaru.

</sarcasm>

You don't know how betrayed I feel.

BTW - I'm lying. My fav KoF is 94.

Samurai Shodown 3 is a work of art.

You cannot deny that thoses backdrops are some of the best the neo-geo has.

You cannot deny that those sprites are some of the best that the neo-geo has.

You cannot deny that SS3, while having its problems, is a step ahead of SS4 in almost every aspect.

Don't deny SS3 a chance.

Actually while I think its a relatively cool idea, I wish they did more with it.

I hate how the BG is so damn plain on that stage, one of the few BG's that I actually dislike to the point where I notice it during gameplay. Normally if I don't care for a BG I can just brush it off since I normally don't care to look at them when I play anyway, but that state is just....blarg...

EDIT: Just went back and read page 3 and someone mentioned there are ghosts flying around in the BG, and to be completely honest in all the times I've played that stage (yesterday for gods sake I was on it 5 times at least) I've not once noticed this.

Peace

So anyhow, one thing I've been trying to get re-skilled at is teleporting into moves with Amakusa. Especially teleporting into his DM.

See, with bust Ukyo, if you have full pow, and do fwd+AB near the opponent, and then tap FWD,Back+CD real quick duing the sidestep, you should connect with the DM.

Same thinking should work with Amakusa.
QCF+D,f,dwn, dwn-fwd+BC.

If you do QCF+D, then dwn,dwn-fwd+A during the teleport, you'll perform his auto-stun move. I use that strategy all the time because it allows me to easily get behind the opponent and kick him to death.

Amakusa is one of the few characters in the game that I just can't get good enough with. And the only character that I really have to think before pressing buttons. He really needs discipline. When I jump at a grounded opponent, I know to press B, but if the oppoent jumps, press C - and never the other way around. Never do a clase B. When close, try to do a low D, or if ensured a hit, C.

Anyhow. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Why am I preferring BUST characters over SLASH?

Hmm, I'm sticking to Ukyo and Haoh at present, still a newb.

Yeah, thats the massive cheese of Ukyo. Which is the one problem with ukyo. The only thing I hate is expert mode, regardless of the cut of blocking that dm has such cheesey priority your screwed from the start.

I dont play a serious match like that, and I admit thats bs.
I do however use infinites on kaillera. I was doing the switch and bait crap with genjuro and my friend got pissed at me.

I'm just playin'. If there wasn't so much lag it'd be cool. I don't mind losing to better people in video games. In fact, I would prefer it to be better people, so I can play them over and over again and get better myself. I wish you had a fast connection so you could whip me into shape on that game :( All these other pussies that play on Kaillera fucking suck.

some slash are better than bust. Examples: Genjuro, Shizumaru, Basara, Amakusa (merely a better pallete and faster projectiles).

But Ukyo, Hanzo, Galford, I play them exclusively in Bust.

Haohmaru is good either way. I love the sound effect for his HCB+C move in slash.
