I use a PS2 > Parallel adaptor no lag and turntable works as expected. USBemani are sold out I think as well as arcins but those are the ideal methods unless you get a USB native controller.

I have a line on a cheap KOC so the parallel method is likely the way for me.

Made a video showing the Hobocade setups. Nothing was turned on since my friend and I were about to open up for the day.

I've heard about the USBemani from a few people but there doesn't seem to be any info about it at all. What's the deal?

congrats dan wish I had the dedication I once had im stuck on 10s still since 2006 lol

ebin: its a board where you can solder the inputs to give it native USB instead of using a PS2>USB adaptor. Lagless solution if you cant get a Parallel port adaptor for your PC.

Obviously I know what it is - where to get one is a completely different story as a google search for it pulls up this very thread as like the fifth result. Slim pickins.

Discussion of the USBemani is on a private forum. PM for details.

Played a lot today and got HC on some 11s I had only NC, notable Checking You Out [a] and Sense 2007 [h]. WTF is with this stool?!

Think I've said it before in this thread but I actually prefer 5key. I like the music from that era a lot more.

I love IIDX but I also really love 5keys. I didn't start playing IIDX until well after 5keys was over and done with, but there's so much to love.

10keys is stupid and fun btw. It's the 2 player non-Battle charts just mashed together, a lot of seemingly impossible stuff gets thrown at you without care. Not sure if it's just me, but some of the much later 10keys/2 player charts seem to keep doubles in mind and introduce a few patterns that spill over to the other side and avoid impossible parts.

I dug out my ipod recently and I've been listening to the Nouvo Nude 60min mix (mixed by Slake), I really need to get a copy of CM1 for my cab once I can finangle a way to change ROMs out more easily. I might blindly buy some low profile ZIF sockets and see if they'll play nice, the ROMs are too close together to mash full size ZIF sockets into their footprint for sure.

I've been unpacking at the new place for Hobocade, if anyone care's here's a tentative layout to-scale (crooked due to perspective):

And while I'm here, here's my IIDX model kit I dug out, which was thankfully packed by the movers with lots of care:

So did anything ever come of the home PC IIDX? Seems like no new info since September.

There was a second alpha then a survey for participants. Happened not long ago.

Copula is out in Japan now but I think Round 1s don't have it yet, I'm sure it will be soon.

So DJ Dao shipped a cache of ASCs to an American storehouse and the total cost is much cheaper since shipping is reduced. www.gamo2.com

I am probably getting the Jubeat FB9 ASC...

Looks like there's a Black Friday discount as well?

EDIT: It's going on for the next 22 hours from this post edit.

That only affects stuff not at the USA storehouse, I think it's still cheaper to buy from there unless you really need something it doesn't stock

Should work with whatever can read 16 keyboard keys. And before you get concerned over it being a keyboard, all 16 keys can be pressed at once.
