I love IIDX but I also really love 5keys. I didn't start playing IIDX until well after 5keys was over and done with, but there's so much to love.
10keys is stupid and fun btw. It's the 2 player non-Battle charts just mashed together, a lot of seemingly impossible stuff gets thrown at you without care. Not sure if it's just me, but some of the much later 10keys/2 player charts seem to keep doubles in mind and introduce a few patterns that spill over to the other side and avoid impossible parts.
I dug out my ipod recently and I've been listening to the Nouvo Nude 60min mix (mixed by Slake), I really need to get a copy of CM1 for my cab once I can finangle a way to change ROMs out more easily. I might blindly buy some low profile ZIF sockets and see if they'll play nice, the ROMs are too close together to mash full size ZIF sockets into their footprint for sure.
I've been unpacking at the new place for Hobocade, if anyone care's here's a tentative layout to-scale (crooked due to perspective):
And while I'm here, here's my IIDX model kit I dug out, which was thankfully packed by the movers with lots of care:
