Well I've been gone for a bit, but have wandered back into town for a bit (we all do eventually). Figured I'd start off by posting some recent photos. I'm no longer in the Sub Contract Custodial business and now work at an Army Surplus store with one of the coolest work crews ever, and my relationship of almost 9 months with my Cougar girlfriend has never been better.

Going back to college soon to FINALLY get my "Peace Officers" degree and also looking at starting my own Security Firm (company) that will be a *By Invite & Head Hunting Only* formation by me aiming at a specific clientele in and around San Antonio and Austin. Right now however, is just getting back on my feet financially in 2013 (mostly). Hope everyone had a kick ass Christmas!

Bored one day with a three hour lull and NO customers, my friend Bridget took this photo of me wearing an M1C "Steel Pot" helmet and rocking the Nam era Tiger Stripe bandanna as a mask. :lolz:

That seems like the perfect work for you. Also: you look like you lost weight.

Yeah I fit it VERY well at the Army Surplus store, as I've also been a patron there since I was 10 years old back in 1988... BUT, we also sell medical scrubs and other stuff like Dickies Work pants and what not, and only a fraction end up shopping in the Surplus section. Most of the military side is not even "Surplus" it's all brand new over priced stuff from Fox Tactical or Rothco, but it's a job and it's helping me get on my feet again. Yes I lost about 70 pounds in the last six months, and I lost like 25 in one month and that was all from the porn star Belladonna Nasty caliber sex I've been having with Teri.
:buttrock:

Been wondering what was going on around these parts so decided to log in. Saw that Nightmare Tony passed away, and gave my condolences, figure I be around for a bit. These days I'm just busy as hell all the time. Mainly I'm just on Facebook (I know, I know... it's a cesspool like anywhere else, but it works for me). Hope all is good in your life bro. Things are just looking up for me.

Warroom. Details. Immediately.

Not much to say other than I *FINALLY* (after 26 years of bullshit, 11 of which were with my ex wife, 7 of them married to her) I met my match. I'll just say that Teri is the female version of me. Our sex life is everything you've ever seen Belladonna or Ava Devine do and then some, and I'm a happy, HAPPY man. I love being her cub. Nothing like hot cougar pussy, and nothing is Taboo. I won't however, go into specifics. I'm not that way anymore. I generally will just speak in generalities, but it's safe to say that I'm hoping to be with her forever. 34 with 46 and it's Heaven on Earth, but not just in the bed room... I mean across the spectrum of what a relationship is. Same likes in movies and every day things, she's into guns, is interested in roller derby, and can't get enough of my boomstick.

In production storeroom waiting for shooting to begin - I think you can tell I was a wee irritated that day.

Went to Harbin, which is famous throughout China for its snow and ice sculptures during the winter season. It's the largest city in the northern-east part of China. Thought I'd post a few here instead of updating the Gentlemen Traveler's thread...

That's awesome sage.
When I was a child living in japan,
they had snow festivals.
They had stuff like 1 story castles and snow slides,
disney kind of stuff.
Nothing compared to the stuff you saw in china though.

DID YOU KNOW: kids call strangers 'uncle' (shushu) instead of 'mister' (xiansheng)

I actually find this pretty interesting.

We have the same thing in much of the balkans...the word for uncle is чичко (cheecho, or cheechko). We also have a separate word for mister, and yet kids refer to a male elder as "cheecho" informally or "cheechko (insert name)" formally.

Hmm...

"shushu" even sounds similar to "cheecho"....I wonder whats the deal with that.

Damn, 'Sage, if anything warranted bumping the thread of Gentleman Travelers that stuff would certainly qualify!

Agreed--that looks like what the Winter Carnival in St. Paul supposedly was like before it got too expensive to build the ice castles (decades ago).

EDIT: Had to get my nerd-on and learn about Harbin, thought I'd share the Wikipedia articles on what he photographed:

Can you guess which one the Russian team sculpted? Hah.

EDIT: Had to get my nerd-on and learn about Harbin, thought I'd share the Wikipedia articles on what he photographed:

It's certainly an interesting city, and I adored the architecture. Harbiners have a reputation for speaking Putonghua very well (as compared to Beijingers' nasally 'nr' sound) - a few times, I caught myself speaking my area's local dialect instead of standard Mandarin so they didn't understand me. I also visited the Harbin Jewish Museum (around 20,000 Jews lived in Harbin in the first half of the 20th century) and the Siberian Tiger Zoo, where you can feed live chicken (or cattle, if you're baller) to the tigers.

There are three main ice/snow sculpture places in Harbin; one place has the massive ice structures, the other has massive snow sculptures, and the last has a ton of beautifully carved ice sculptures.

Not my pictures, but another gallery of the massive sculptures from last year:
http://imgur.com/a/yx4BF?gallery

Also, an incredible gallery of pictures during the Cultural Revolution in Harbin I'm sure you'll find interesting:
http://contact.photoshelter.com/gal...dier-Book/G0000rN8yxCx.Bk0/0/C0000czlAAq16AeA

Interestingly, I didn't see many Russians. I did see a few, but not as many as I thought I would have. At the three big parks I was the only foreigner I saw.

Anyways, I'm going back to Harbin next week, this time with some friends. Train ride is 15 hours but this only happens once a year and I have the right amount of days off...so why not.

ok one more for chinglish

Thanks, 'Sage, I loved all of these. The Cultural Revolution photos and the hilariously awkward Chinglish especially.

Sometimes Chinglish gets so bad it becomes a band name.

Went to the city of Datong in Shanxi province. Train tickets for Harbin were sold out, shoulda figured with the Spring Festival just around the corner. Nobody wanted to come with, now I'll make them regret that when I post these on QQ (chinese facebook):

Wow, I'd read about a lot of these places. Very, very neat.

I particularly liked your photo of the Hanging Temple because every other photo I've seen makes its seem like it's much higher up.

Me with Dante Carver. If you don't know who he is, he is a famous actor in Japan. He's well known for being in Softbank commercials and he's pretty damn cool.

Got more later.
