A new plague is amongst us!

[EDITOR'S NOTE: NGF steals a page from GameDude, Shawn and the rest of the Community are chagrined at the discovery]

The bad situation keeps getting worse. I have received complaints from customers concerning the manuals from the new/sealed home carts I purchased from NGF. Not only did Dion break all of the seals and apply his gooey NGF sticker to the carts, he had applied NGF stickers randomly inside the manuals as well! Not on the front, or the back, but deliberately inside the manual. So far, all the new/sealed home carts I have inspected have NGF tagged carts & manuals.

Now we have a new plague amongst our collections. You will need to inspect your manuals very closely, check every single page. I nearly missed the stickers that were applied near the spine/bend of the manual. Best way to locate the stickers is to open the manual wide and flip one page at a time. This sticker ruins the value of the manual for collectors. Would you want to have an NGF sticker haphazardly applied to your metal slug cart or manual? One more detail we will have to ask about when making a neo purchase.

I have provided scans that an extremely disappointed customer sent me. Luckily his sticker was not covering up readable content, but still a ruined manual that I must replace. I’m finding that some of the manual stickers are literally dead center and turned sideways, freaking (ruining) entire paragraphs. As soon as I get a new digital camera and flatbed scanner, that works with Windows 2000, I will show more of the freaked manuals, carts, and boxes and display them in the Black Book.





I have noted the freaked carts on the neo store with a green star and have lowered their prices accordingly. The CD’s appear to be untouched, other than the boxes that they were shipped in. Freaking 1342 CD’s out of the 1349 that were purchased would take dion months. It took him two weeks to freak 81 out the 84 new/sealed home carts I bought. Even if they do bring NitD to home cart, they will be ruined by NGF to the fullest extent.

what a joke..........this shit gets more pathetic by the day....

NGF is like a bad nightmare that disrupts an otherwise blissful hobby that is NEO GEO gaming/collecting.

That's absolutely vile. One more reason for ANGF to fight.

buy 300+. He would be getting them at $300.00 and selling them to "you
people" for $379.99. And, shawn was trying to get the games for only
$290 - which we were going to grant him. So, he would have $290 into them
and sell them to you people for $369.99

He told both Chris and myself that "All those guys will think I (shawn) am
giving them a deal if we work together and I offer them a better price than
NGF direct."

That is why he was purposely selling the carts for $10 less than our price
($379.99) - to make himself look good - and sucker you guys. See, we at NGF
don't need to play tricks....we just sell the games. We are not into the
politics that you guys like to create.

Just thought you guys should know how your "supposed" friend acts and talks
about you people behind your backs.

Finnally, I was waiting for someone else to say that, when I first saw the ANGF banners i about died laughing. You guys claim to hate them so much, yet your wasting your time forming some club and making banners? All your doing is promoting them, your their billboards.

I mean if it were just one person's word against another the case would be thrown out the window but if it's, say, twenty of you to one that's another story.

Why does Dion think the games he sells will have any collector's value? I mean if everything he outputs is a freaked game wouldn't that make them all worthless? That's like me selling people MP3s on zip disks or something. How come no legal action has ever been taken against this guy? He sounds just another bootlegger..

Because dion is under the delusion that he is SNK now. Nothing NGF will ever be worth money, it's all "garage made" no matter how pretty it is. And any official games dion ruins by putting stickers, or correcting inserts will be just as worthless.

I have a question for everybody.

How can anybody be a "sucker" for buying a cart for $10 less? That would be the "smart" thing to do. Wouldn't it be the other way around, you would be a "sucker" if you paid $10 more to get it from NGF? Also, Shawn would "look good" if he sold it for $10 less. Isn't the "purpose" of selling stuff cheaper is to give customers a better value and making your business "look good"? After all this is America right?

I mean they pretty much give it away when they say you can "trade" in your jap version for the USA one, It doesn't take a genius to figure out their just swapping inserts and manuals and giving you the same cart back

About the KoF2K cart thing he was doing, in the original 'faq' he made about that deal when they first got the cartridges, he was claiming to have 500 cartrdiges already 'manufactured' and everything. I kinda doubted at first that he really had 500 already made all along, now I see that was true.

Also, from what I've heard yeah, he is the only US distributor for SNK, but you know what? What the hell does that mean? I could buy any two cartridges direct from SNK and be a distributor, anyone can do that, yet in that first faq he was all bragging about how they got exclusive rights to distribute it, as if it had such huge demand in the first place, I mean, claiming you're the onyl distribute when you're the really only one is a typo, claiming you're the EXCLUSIVE distributor when you're the only one who showed any interest is pure bullshit. I still don't understand why people deal at all with this person, nor do I understand what he plans to do with his life ten years down the road when there won't be a real MVS market.

I said in another thread I wasn't going say anymore about this, but I feel I gotta. This is in regard to why Shawn deals with NGF. When you sink a lot of time and effort into starting up a fledgeling business, you want it to work. You want it to work very badly. Many times, entrepeneurship is closely associated with large amounts of risk. Shawn kept dealing with NGF because he wants his business to work...he wants it to work for us. He didn't spend 23K+ for his collection, he spent it for ours. Shawn, as far as the stickers in the manuals, that is pretty tore up. I hope everything works out.
