Why? You could probably record the same cd yourself. Buy a guitar, downtune it, run the amp up and strum a few power chords every few minutes. Sample some halloween sound effects and BAM. New Sunn 0))) album.

There's much better shit in Southernlord's catalogue IE Earthride, Hidden Hand, Place of Skulls etc...

If anyone is interested in KICKASS rocknroll check out NY's The Brought Low.

Also listening to The Mighty Nimbus (sixty watt shaman goes DOOM)

How did Sunn and southernlord get so fucking polpular?
Its strange as fuck, hopefully the doom bubble will pop soon.
Sunn's shows now a days are just too much, their heads are way too big for thier own good.
Ive seen Sunn plenty of times and their shows get more boring and played out everytime. The show they did with Boris and Thrones was fucking stupid. Thrones were great, Boris was dissapointing but that was the only time i'll ever be able to see that band live.

Doom Metal has somehow turned completly hip and trendy and its a bummer.
I remeber when I could get 3 copies of Towers by Burning Witch directly from slap-a-ham for $15 because they couldnt sell them...now they go upwords of $50-100 on ebay. As much as I love the label, I %100 blame Southernlord for fucking up the doom metal genre.

P.s. Graves at Sea/Asunder/Wolves in the Throne Room/One in the Chamber/Amber Asylum/Laudanum are playing this weekend in two shows in the bay area...Good weekend.

EDIT: This is what ive been listening too today.
